I haven't needed Hollywood for decades. Always been super suspicious about the whole setup, even though several members of my family have been involved in the film industry and have worked hard and achieved most of their goals. I think Hollywood needs to be firmly identified as a separate entity in all it's guises from society.

Mr. Birchum reminds me of my old wood shop teacher, Mr. Gardner. A guy that went as far as shoving the vice principal to disconnecting the fire alarm in his shop because he knew it was going to go off during his prep hour when he normally takes a nap. He also used to say that experience has taught him to do two things when a kid injures himself on a machine. One: Shut the machine off. And two: Get the kid away from the machine before you ask him what happened.

While anyone can make movies, the real issue is getting the best talent together for the best films in an ego-driven industry. The studio's for all their failings did that one thing - kept the best together under 'one roof'. Now the industry is diluted with lesser talent attempting to support the veteran talent. The acquisition of a few new competent people doesn't offset the lack of merit once held as the industry standard. Technical prowess will never replace the skill and abilities honed on stages, in theater and classic - epic efforts of the past. It's not just Hollywood - film as a professional medium is in trouble. Other countries 'new' to this century old American industry never had the same chances but are also devoid of many of it's social problems. Being non-woke isn't enough. Where is the pinnacle of film now?

Impressive young woman. I think she said that in the animation show with Adam Carolla, that they were "not afraid to pull punches". I think she meant "not afraid to throw punches". Conservatives and classical liberals have been pulling punches, at best, when dealing with the absurdity of the woke. It's time to throw punches, metaphorically, not literally. Leave actual violence to the crazies on the left. We need to hit back with good storytelling and the truth.

Snow White and the Evil Queen is definitely going to be a hit. I'm a fairy tale fanatic. I've read all the oldest fairy tales, from some very old books which were written well before anything produced by Walt Disney. I read Grimm's Fairy Tales and then Hans Christian Andersen book and cried through half the book. It's so deep. It was written for children by a deeply spiritual man. The moral of those stories can be traced back to Biblical times in it's depth. Snow White and Rose Red is another great fairy tale. Brett Cooper is a perfect character for the movie. Her voice is sweet and clear. Just what it should be.

Nobody “needed” Hollywood, ever. It forced itself upon our consciousness and it’s time (along with many evil and stagnant entities) has come. I cheer the loss of millions of dollars on these movies that prioritize division and darkness. I will “dance around the ashes” as it were, when the companies shut their doors for the final time. EVERYONE involved in modern Hollywood needs to take a moment to kneel and reflect. Old Hollywood, however, was GREAT. Go watch oldies movies and shows, from the 90’s and before (the 2000’s on seemed to be okay with wickedness). Watch musicals, watch funny stuff (may I recommend Young Frankenstein, Raising Arizona, or What’s Up, Doc?). There are some solid and worthy old works of entertainment art that should be experienced. Support THAT, not modern superiority complex woke preachertainment garbage

A newer Christian like Peterson who's so successful and entrances secular psychology would fall into the trap of thinking that he would actually know more about scriptures than most people. That's the danger of so many professionals. There's so much knowledge an experience as an atheist, now he has to be transformed and be careful not to conform is Christianity to who he was which capitulated him to fame. Let me know what you think Jordan.

The terms "values" is being wrongly used synonymously with other words, when they are very different things. In this case the word "values" is used wrongly when they mean to say "principles," which is based on beliefs. There's no such thing as "national values" because values are determined individually through competing virtues where a hierarchy is formed, but the key is individuality, and they form very early in life and NEVER change. Many argue, "Well, my beliefs change," but thats only by a manipulation of one's values, thats the role of missionaries, for example. Dr Peterson should know this and help promulgate these verities and concepts.

@@Blake4625kHz Right. Thanks for your explanation resolving my confusion. When Iwas in Serbia I found Jewelry made from it and its crystals in rings and pendants. There was an American tourist with a baby and she had a cinnabar pendant the baby had in her mouth. I ran over, apologized and informed her the baby had cinnabar in its mouth, which was laden with mercury. She indicated he baby must have gotten it out of her bag and thanked me. The thought passed through my mind that I'd get one of those, "Mind your own GD business." But the child's safety was tanamount.

Hollywood exists because movie making required film processing and elaborate sets and large casts and a large physical distribution network. None of which is used any more. Hollywood has outlived its usefulness.

Thank you Dr. Jordan Peterson, I agree with the title on this one, we never have needed hollywood. And for the most part, from what I can see from the majority, it is not wanted either. The Court Jester needs to show themselves out. When it changes from entertainment into something else, it's not allowed. Get off my lawn!!! I say! I might add without trying to Brown nose, I enjoy your artistic talents and I think your "Wake Up!" music video is top shelf badass, and I wish you were my dad.

A few moves that a lot of people belie is Hollywood movies, but very much is not. (that is, most of you who seen it probobly belive its a hollywood movie, but its not) Aliens 1986 Matrix 1999 (only the first, the second 2 are Hollywood movies) 5th Element 1997 (Actually a french movie) The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 1966 (And also the other movies in the same series) Leon 1994 Mad Max Honorable additions. That is, movies that is clearly not hollywood movieis, but have a classic high level of storytelling and production value. The things he’s shown through his sessions have amazed me to the point I don’t believe the Bible was written without divine inspiration. And he backs up everything he says with verses off the top of his head. Or William Albrecht or them both at the same time. At least watch Sam’s sessions called “Jesus in the Garden of Eden”

This is great news! I remember when Adam Corolla first hit the big time doing his Mr. Birchum shtick for KROQ radio back in the late '80s? early '90s? when Jimmy Kimmel was his sidekick "Jimmy the sports guy." They went on to break into TV with "The Man Show" [a low-rent knock-off of the poorly named but brilliant X Show (should have been "Y," after the 23rd chromosome that makes men what they are)] and the rest, as they say, is history. The "good old days," before Jimmy Kimmel got full of himself & went yeeting off over the horizon to the left; hope the show proves a hit for Adam!
