Might I suggest you begin thinking about how to cool your house when there is no energy to run even a swamp cooler. Been there, done that and I hope to never have to live that way again. Lots of people have no clue what it is like to suffer day after day of August with no way to cool yourself but dig a deep hole and sleep in the dirt. No es bueno!

In Detroit, we had one of the largest national home manufactures (Pulte Homes) offer to tear down 40,000 homes slated for demolition for free. The mayor said no and then started paying those on the Friends and Family Program $25,000 per demolished home. Surprise surprise, 2 years into the program people were arrest for taking bribes, falsifying invoices and dumping hazardous waste in the holes instead of clean fill. And just to put a cherry on top, they tore down a few homes that were not on the list.

Absolutely no one. Because the honest answer is they have no effing idea, and regardless of how much we reduce carbon emissions, it may have absolutely nothing to do with global warming.

Because carbon neutrality will have zero impact on the climate, but these assholes buddies all own the companies that belong in this pseudo-hippie market segment and making alternate forms of power generation creates a monopoly for their businesses and they will gain wealth they can quantify as well as climate change predictions. The whole green energy movement is a scam to get you to feel happy about paying more for your electricity than you used to.

How to Think about Climate Change March 11, 2021 By WILLIAM HAPPER "The best way to think about the frenzy over climate is to consider it a modern version of the medieval Crusades. You may remember that the motto of the crusaders was “Deus vult!”, “God wills it!” It is hard to pick a better virtue-signaling slogan than that. Most climate enthusiasts have not gone so far, but some actually claim that they are doing God’s work. After decades of propaganda, many Americans, perhaps including some of you here today, think there really is a climate emergency. Those who think that way, in many cases, mean very well. But they have been misled. As a scientist who actually knows a lot about climate (and I set up many of our climate research centers when I was at the Department of Energy in the early 1990s) I can assure you that there is no climate emergency. There will not be a climate emergency. Crusades have always ended badly. They have brought discredit to the supposed righteous cause. They have brought hardship and death to multitudes. Policies to address this phony climate emergency will cause great damage to American citizens and to their environment. Climate frenzy is really heating up recently. On February 4th Senator Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, and Congressman Earl Blumenauer introduced “legislation mandating the declaration of a national climate emergency. The National Climate Emergency Act directs the President of the United States to declare a national climate emergency and mobilize every resource at the country’s disposal to halt, reverse, mitigate and prepare for the consequences of this climate crisis.” (This is from Mr. Blumenauer’s website.) But this is utter nonsense. There is no climate crisis, and there will not be a climate crisis ..." He knows exactly how much it would cost and he knows exactly how much it will lower world temperature. Let's bankrupt the country for a .000X degree difference while India and China keep opening up coal plants which makes it even less negligible by year.

Seems like most of these people in the Dept. of Energy don't really know what is going on. Someone needs to monitor them. In any large for-profit US corporation. They do basic studies of COST, benefits, and ROI. These folks don't seem to know about that. Corporations need FACTS before spending their money. Why do these US Federal Energy employees not know? What a waste of time for every tax dollar they are spending when they come to Congress without real facts and the costs, benefits analysis, and ROI.
