Anime Talku agree and she even went to get him checked when she realized he wasn’t giving eye contact, even as a mom she knew something was wrong yet the doctors said he was fine,😓In the states kids are supposed to get diagnosed at 2 for autism or motor disabilities and immediately get placed with various therapist from speech, occupational, behavioral, physical, and even counseling if needed. Early intervention is key to growth, but then again most Asians don’t deal or tend to ignore this and just feel that nothing is wrong. I’m Asian and also a behavior interventionist and have relatives who had this thought process until I advised them to get their children checked, my uncle being one of them and it turns out I was right and that my cousin was autistic.

He's autistic and if a psychiatrist or psychologist could not spot this then it begs the question what kind medical program does universities in Korea have to not being able to produce a decent medical professionals that cannot categorize and consult a person with autism. What kind of authorities give licence to medical practitioners that doesn't understand mental health well and among a few people who are actually expected to be able to understand autism

@@abthurd even if she just took him to standard pediatricians, they see hundreds of kids in a MONTH, that should already be enough experience to tell apart a neurodivergent kid from a neutotypical one. Autism signs are especially prevalent in young boys so I don’t understand how this was possible. I haven’t heard of doctors not noticing low functioning autism in a while.

I read in another of her interviews that her son only started calling her mom last year, when they went on a trip to Singapore together. Every new development must really seem like a milestone to cherish. I really like that they got to show this. It can really bring a lot of awareness and compassion. When they were in the market even little kids approached him and showed affection for him after watching him on the show. I've never seen a tv appearance like this that's not a documentary or an exclusive reality show about a family raising a child with autism. It can maybe reach a more varied audience because the people that tune into the show may be those who wouldn't necessarily click a video about autism, but now they can see this. Being a parent is certainly a challenge, but for me it's the most beautiful role one can take in life.

I wish my parents were half as caring as her. So the day before yesterday my Parents and brother beat me up because I'm always quiet and not social at all and to them I'm not considered normal. They were both physically and verbally abusing me while calling me prostitute (I've never dated n i don't even have friends) When they saw the money i saved up by tutoring kids, they said you're a prostitute and that's how you got that money . Then i was in my room covered in bruises and swollen eyes crying for hours . when i was in my room thinking about committing sucide my parents and brother were deciding what they want for dinner even tho i didn't had breakfast or lunch. When i think about no one will give me a hug or pet my head when I'm having a hard time i feel like giving up. At this point i don't even know why im here trying so hard to not give up. I despise them with all my heart and i believe my family killed me that day. So i envy people who have loving parents. Edit : Thank you so much everyone for caring and being so nice and kind to me when my family didn't even care about me. Every single time i cried reading all your comments it means a lot to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart😊❤❤❤❤❤❤

Wow, salute to this mom!! Its really hard for mother to admit that there is something special to his son. Imagine many parents are still in denial when it comes to their child situation like this. Some times they tend to argue to teacher to prove that his/her child is same with the other children. But they didn't know, the more you deny the more hard to control or lessen some inappropriate attitude or behaviour. Therefore, is really importance to admit it early if you notice that there is something about your child for them to treat. Because some of the child with that case is really the best in specific skills. They could be called as genius is some skills. I really admire her also for being sa single mom! What a great mother!!!! Big respect to those mother who's reading my comment!! Stay healthy!!

Exactly, I agree. It’s this point where a lot of parents struggle and don’t realise how much they can be detrimental to their growth of their child with special needs. The parents would notice signs but instead of seeking out help, they would put their kid in day care or in a school which doesn’t suit their child’s needs. Teachers or day carers would then make the parents aware their child needs further help at home and also to be referred to get specialist help. However when certain parents get this kind of news, they really are in denial and ruin this critical early period where it’s soo vital that they listen and try to cooperate as it’s the critical time to help better their child and set good boundaries and foundations for them to grow up well.

I cried without me even knowing I cried until the end of the video, he’s a very precious child and I hope him the best for everything. He’s so unique and caring, and seeing him apologizing to his mother is just wow because it wasn’t much of a problem but he apologized. But overall, He deserves the world. Wish him the best

I have a classmate who get easily upset so she got bullied a lot too in our school that why my schoolmates and classmate get scared of her. Dismissal time i saw her hiding & crying in the stairs , I gave her water and my snacks to share she was very nice to me while talking about cartoons while waiting to her mom to arrive. end of the school year her mom gave me a letter thanking me because no one has ever been nice to her and that when i also found out that her mom also have the same condition as her daughter....

When I was younger like him if I got upset or mad i pinch, scratch or bite myself. I grew out of it or so i thought until almost 2 years when my grandma died i developed that habit again. So i really commend how loving his mom is and patient. I know how tiring it can be to just work but you also wanting to just spend time with your kid. I respect her.

My mum is also a single mother and she tries her best to understand what I’m feeling and thinking which is a hard job because when I’m crying I can’t think at all and can’t get ahold of my emotions long enough to express why I am upset and sometimes I don’t even know why. This really pulled at my heart

I can relate to her. My mother died last year leaving me with my siblings. One with special needs only 1 year younger than me. Her condition is more severe because her mentality is that of a child. We can't hold a conversation since she can't understand or comprehend properly what we're talking about. She mostly talks about food and music. Her feet are also deformed so she can't stand properly and prefer to crawl like a baby. She needs assistance in everything though it became better now that she can eat by herself but sometimes she still asks to feed her. It's like we have a baby in an adult body. It becomes especially difficult when she have tantrums. She scratches and slaps people. Even normal times she can't control herself well. I barely had any sleep the first few months and until now I'm still adjusting to everything. Despite all the difficulties, I'm very grateful to have her in my life. She's the one that keeps me from giving up and breaking down.
