Answering Common Issues: I cant just shorten my workout this way because im a powerlifter/athlete! - Thats true, this video is about speeding up your MUSCLE BUILDING training and that only. I wouldnt advise applying these tips to exercises where the goal ISNT for MUSCLE BUILDING. So if you take extra time in the gym because you have to do conditioning/other work, or you need longer rest times on the powerlifts, then thats completey fine! This video is to inform people that do muscle building training, that they can make that training more efficient to build the same muscle in a shorter time!

Ok bro, recently many people are trying the intensity over volume methods which is 1-2 max set to true failure only on each exercise, and reduce their weight lifting to 3 days per week, this sounded ridiculous at first but it actually work, if you are building muscle and strength you can use this method, if you are an athlete you can also use lower training volume with more intensity, so let’s say it takes you 30-45 mins lifting weights, 20-30 mins plyo, 30 mins skill training/conditioning/cardio it shouldn’t take that long

Brother this whole time I had my jaw dropped by everything you said because that literally my exact training theory/philosophy!!! when I tell people I train like this they think I'm crazy because it isn't what you see online but actually it's the most effective method to train hypertrophy in my opinion. one thing I would add is to use a workout app (i would reccomend Hevy) becuase that makes everything so much easier having it all in 1 package another thing that most people overlook is that progressive overload and consistency are the most crucial things when it comes to training hypertrophy. I really liked your video because this is literally me and I thought I lived in an isolated bubble from the rest of the community. Keep this shit up man!!!!

@@virding232 did I even mention that specific single piece of information? No I did not. And just because that is Decent advice, for those who struggle with overtraining or ar beginner lifters, doesn't mean it invalidates my claim they his information is not neccessarily agreed on by both of those mentioned trainers. They both share advice contradictory to some of these claims The problem that is advice caters to him and his strength training goals, aswell as people with as limited experience as him (I say limited due to his age). He has some good advice but alot of it is subjective, though he uses absolutism (which detracts from his advice). Also he didn't just say you don't need 18 hours a week, he said you only need an hour per session. He says, need but then refers to optimal training. Yes you only need limited training, but that's not what's optimal. However most of his advice regards to optimal training and restricting practices that extend the duration of the session, even when it's neccessary. I can specify what you'll miss out on if you limit yourself to an Hour

honestly when i started doing "the bare minimum" for me which is like anywhere between 1 and 3 sets of a muscle group i started seeing most results. 1 set when i had nerves to go all out in one set and multiple sets when i didnt feel like pushing myself that hard (RIR 5 per set or something) Workouts like these usually take me between 2 and 10 minutes per muscle group and i train mainly compound movements so i hardly spend any time in the gym Probably not optimal for gym rats like people on here but any workout is better than no workout if you have little time/nerves and want to still look good

For me, PPL is the best split, but other's like doing a bro split or an upper lower. Find what your enjoy and stick with it, because you want this for the long run right? I really think working out less but smarter has always been the best way especially for natural lifters / people that workout. I recently developed a quite serious biceps tendonitis on my left shoulder due to the possibility of an overtrain and too much volume and time spent in my workouts. I literally used to do like 5 sets of high intensity weighted dips (usually on rings), 4 sets of handstand push ups work, and then followed by another 5 sets of decline push ups done twice a week on my push days and not to mention my isolation works and of course my pull days where I use my bicep tendons again and even more causing an overuse. Now, I learn that I don't need as much intensity instead only focus on what really builds the most and then the rest are just accessories.

I go 6 days on 2 days off, PPL. Each workout takes 30 mins max, with one moderate working set and one heavier almost-failure set per exercise. Only 4 exercises for each day focusing on compounds. This coupled with a real bulking diet (I have access to unlimited peanut butter for free) has made my gains skyrocket. I finally look muscular, still a bit slim with clothes on, but far better than the runner’s build I used to have. I think “slim muscular” is a pretty solid build for aesthetics.

Lots of people have misconceptions thinking they need to spend a lot of time and be at the gym all seven days a week, which for a lot is very complicated, they end up quitting because it's no longer sustainable for them. Having to work for 8hrs while also not taking into account the time it takes to commute from one place to the other, while having time to eat accordingly and sleep for example. As a uni student it is certaily difficult to stick to a routine but cutting unnecessary time makes it so much easier. I'm glad content like this existst. Well done and keep it up.

I skip a day when I get bad sleep (not just okay sleep) or if I have a big deadline. But I know I’m back on it the next day. The consistency and moderation in your daily life is far more important than the hours doing the work. Do the basic levels of health first. Can totally relate, when I started doing 3 days a week but felt like they regularly took an hour or 2, felt like it took up so much of my time, and trying to do less to make it work with school now, was able to get it down to about an hour and a half or two for 4 days a week, a year ago, and now with these tips and others have managed to shave it down to an hour, hopefully with the same or better results.

In my last gym since it was near my home I was there 5 days a week training for two hours, and I felt like I improved very little. Now because of work I got 3x week around 1.30h and see much better results. Find what works best for you and train hard bros.

I am really a begginer, and didn't exactly understand everything, so points I'm going to implement are: up&low sessions, warm up with lighter weights, lower ammounts of sets and looking at timer. 🎉

I had the same realizations, and noticed much more improvement after following a more scientific approach. House of hypertrophy actually recommends 30 to 45 sets per week, but that includes compound exercises hitting things like triceps. I still go six days per week, but can keep it to under an hour now.
