Brian Van and STG are honest, transparent and just good people to have in all things motorcycling. I have enjoyed many of their informative videos over the years. They also are one of the few independent businesses left. Once things go “corporate” like in the case of the zilla, you can really appreciate what an independent business can offer. I bought a pair of boots from STG. The description, which I assume they get from the manufacturer, said they were waterproof. I really liked how they looked, white with accents. They weren't even close. 1st time in rain, feet soaked in 15 minutes. But ya know that? I contacted STG and got a RMA, shipped back, full credit toward another pair. No questions, no hassles. Honestly though, wish I'd have kept them and just bought rain covers. Really liked those boots. STG really DOES tzke care of the customer.

I recently had an issue with an STG-supplied Driven brand sprocket. It was eventually sorted out to my satisfaction, but the person answering the phone was less than helpful for most of the process. First, service reps should ALWAYS provide their name; “Hello, STG, this is Jack”... Never happened. After a while, I started asking “who am I speaking with?”, even though I knew who it was by then. Next screw-up was when Jack promised me he’d ship me a replacement sprocket (at full pop, plus shipping). I get a bloody email the next day from shipping saying “uh, that one is out of stock, sorry” OK, I guess it’s over to Revzilla then, huh? At least their part made their free shipping cutoff. Finally, after sending four different videos of me demonstrating why the sprocket was junk, it was OK, here’s your refund. It could have gone so much easier, and I pretty much lay the blame on Jack for not making it easier. Call me Happy-Not Happy.

I'll say it on every episode of this. STG is top notch 100%. When you're honest and respectful with them, you cannot have a bad buying experience with them. If for any reason something you buy doesn't work out for you, properly package it and return it and there will be ZERO issue. People are so ignorant is disgusting. I vote retaping that box as is and let him know he owns that shit now. It's no different than with helmets when once you ride with it, ownership becomes theirs. This rearsets look used now, their damaged upon their negligence. These are the people who cause accidents on the road because they think they own it.

Customers can be real scum. I used to work for a small custom motorcycle shop/ e-retailer. Many people would claim to be missing things from their order all the time, and expect you to just send them out another one no questions asked. My employer used to record the packing of the boxes and keep the footage for months. So people would complain, and they would send them the footage of it going in the box. Surprise! crickets. That's what the world has come to for small businesses that want to survive

That is ridiculous but I will say I ordered some anodized chain adjusters and they showed up in a soft envelope with the box inside beat to hell. I was surprised you guys did not ship in a hard box.

I accidently ordered a rear tire instead of a front tire and did not find out till the shop mounted it, I contacted STG and was completely honest with what happened. The response I got was what I expected of not being able to return. This did not bother me, the fact that there was no thank you for your honesty but unfortunately, we can't approve a return. It was merely denied, what this showed me was my honesty was not appreciated and

My guess is the customer is either a young dude who knows how to ride fast in a straight line and has to impress all of his buddies in "the pack" while knowing very little about mechanics or installations. Or...he's "one of those" older guys that wants everything for free. I'm betting we've all been on the other side of receiving a product that was junk. And I get the frustration. But a bad product isn't the fault of the distributor (STG) and should not face the wrath of an angry customer. This is a lack of patience, class and understanding. Don't punish the middleman for customer or manufacturer error!

There is a precise reason why you buy such an accessory. Most likely he must have seen it from another motovlogger on youtube. And believing that HE also needed them, he placed the order.
