And unsurprisingly enough, this was probably added to this game right around the time they added pettable cats to Genshin Impact. (It was for an event, all but one of the special cats appear to have found other homes (Fischl definitely has one now), leaving just one cat which IF you made it through the event is now living in your teapot and remains permanently pettable at a specific piece of cat furniture. That said, they did a LOT of cat animations for the event.)
