Today, Verse finally got a new update to the Verse API. This video goes over how to use the new features!
Verse / UEFN / Creative 2.0 added new features in today's update. In the Fortnite Battle Royale Gamemode, they added a Star Wars collaboration along with Darth Maul and some other new character sin the mini battle pass. However, we are taking a look at the new Verse API update which allows you to spawn a custom prop anywhere on the map using the transform struct in UEFN.

    I don't believe you can, unless you implement a custom gravity mechanic

    1:34 how can you make a creative prop asset? also, how can you turn a static mesh in the outliner into a creative prop asset?

    Creative prop asset is a Creatuve Prop Blueprint. If you make a blueprint and add a static mesh there, it converts into a creative prop ssset that you can select

    Would there be a way to have that prop appear in the place of an item (let's say the torch) every time it is dropped from a player, no matter where you were on the map and then somehow allow it to be picked up again (as the torch)?

    @@piequalsthree3 I'm thinking if an invisible button can appear to the prop when it's spawned which is bound to the capture item spawner which initially spawns the torch, it may be able to be done

    @@MrHeadWizard Sure, but what I'm understanding is that you want the prop to be picked up as in it goes in your inventory. I don't think it's possible unless you spawn a mini shield or something, which Idk if you can do without item spawners

    @@piequalsthree3 ohhhh. Yeah I don’t think placing a prop into your inventory would be possible. I was just wondering if there was a way to use what you did here and apply to a capture item. Where every time that capture item (e.g. torch) is dropped from your inventory that the prop appears on the map instead of the torch. And when you want to pick it back up it puts the capture item (torch) back into your inventory.
