To make it even more ridiculous, it was 1.3 million plus $45,601 a month in child support, even though they are sharing custody, PLUS $115,000 a month in spousal support until Jan 31 next year.

Shit... I remember when she performed on I think the last American idol and she was pregnant and she had to stop mid song cause she was crying and EVERYONE, audience, judges, host and contestants were bawling because it was heartbreaking that her father could do this to her and everyone was so happy she found this man to make I better... 😢I'm so devastated😂

​@@i.5673 Fortunately Kelly had a Prenup which he tried to have thrown out in court but Kelly won but is still having to pay him almost $200,00 a month for having the kids 2 days a month. After this coming January that amount will be reduced to $45,00/month which is still crazy! This is all on top of the $1.3 million settlement.

From what I’ve heard, she’s rewritten it for her Vegas show and it no longer mentions him, it’s just about her healing and being there for her children unconditionally when her father wasn’t

I absolutely love this song and I think its such a beautiful and pure sentiment. I think there is still hope for every woman to find a man like that who will make her feel safe, at peace, and cared for. It does break my heart when I hear it knowing that joy was stolen from her, but I believe that part of her story shows the beauty of her heart and her strength as a woman and mother.

The song is about both father and ex-husband. It's not even a guess, it's very explicit in the song that she's talking about how her father left her and then her husband (at the time) made her believe there's such a thing called good father's. Now that they're divorced is kinda sad to listen

As nice as she is, based on her new song, it sounds like she’s the type that refuses to ask for help and doesn’t like being around needy clingy sensitive people. I live with introverted toxic people like that and I wouldn’t want to be around somebody who is insensitive to sensitive people because I’m a needy clingy sensitive extrovert. I can’t stand introverts because they tend to bully extroverts and shame us for having fun and talking about things and practicing self care. I love Kelly, she’s a rare jewel I’m just saying maybe he left her because he didn’t feel loved. That’s a definitely possibility if he was extroverted. Extroverts require someone who gives them constant attention, validation and love. Introverts require people who give them space. If you place an introvert with an extrovert it usually ends in disaster.

@@aspieangel1988 you couldn’t be more wrong about introverts. More than 70% of us are highly sensitive people. We are very in tune with ourselves and those around us and have a lot of love to give. Sounds like you’ve just surrounded yourself with toxic people or perhaps you might be part of the problem with not giving people who need to recharge a break. And introverts and extroverts can be great couples because they balance each other out. I think her ex was douchebag because how could you not love kelly. She’s funny, loving and empathetic. Hes probably jealous of her work ethic and success. Men don’t like to be overshadowed.

It makes sense in some contexts. Like I had a friend in hs whose mom kept her and her dad essentially alive while he did med school. He obviously supports the family now. Then she was a stay at home mom which he liked. If they divorced at this point her mom would have a hard time finding a job to even pay rent let alone live anywhere near how she has been. When it’s two extremely wealthy people though? Nah.

It’s following the theme of Miley’s song Flowers. Here’s a song that was huge and is still relevant and it tears me up when I hear it. Its by Janis Joplin with the band Big Brother and the Holding company called “Take another piece of my heart.

I do not know what ended their marriage, but spousal support and a divorce settlement are important, even if you don't like the person receiving them. Does anyone need that much money? Absolutely not. Is it important that the law provides security for the partner who earns less in case of a divorce so they are not financially dependent on their partner and are not forced to stay in a marriage that makes them unhappy? Yes.
