You Can Make the Choice To Aim Up
In this clip from Dr. Jordan Peterson's 2023 Beyond Order tour, he discusses the necessity of conscious choice to change your life. It's not simply a matter of wanting to change, or feeling shame for the slump you are in. You must act with deliberate intent and aim upward.

Peterson told my son to keep looking up after we spoke to him a couple of years back. The last thing he to shouted to him as he walked away was "Jacob, keep aiming high kiddo!" The man listened intently to my son as he spoke. He was so kind and warm and he radiated a firm but fatherly compassion. My son hasn't looked down since. God bless you Jordan🙏🏼

"You can do it badly and it'll still work." Reminds me of painting my house. It's a very forgiving process. A perfectionist could spend 80% of his time on 20% of the job, but any fresh coat of paint is always better than what was there before. The most challenging aspect is mustering the effort to get started.

This. I have learned so much from Dr. Peterson after YEARS of radical feminists and alphabet people in my professional field threatened me if I ever spoke his name. I avoided him out of fear for my career, and it turns out it was all for naught. Modern progressives are sick in the head.
Every speech I listen to brings me closer to a happier more prosperous destiny. Thank you sir
Jordan has a way to express simply what many find difficult to envision, let alone verbalize. He has the ability to make the words that come out of his mouth become a precise and accurate representation of the thoughts in his head; A challenge for most people, myself included. It's always a pleasure listening to him speak. Blessed are the people who have been fortunate enough to have crossed paths with this man.

I miss the fatherly Dr. Peterson. He still is, don't get me wrong, but I mean that man from 2016-2018 who gave willing millenials serious and stern guidance and deep advices. I'm glad to see him acting out that role fully once again even if on short occasions, I'm grateful, really and this whole video left me on the imminence of shedding a tear, to be brutally honest. Just saw JBP in Vegas on Sunday. His theme for the night was aiming up. Lots of solid principles and just great to see him live even though those who have watched him for many hours pretty well know his concepts and communication style. We had one in our group who wasn’t at all familiar with him so it was fun to see her perspective on it. She was engrossed and taking notes throughout. We had a good discussion for the two hour ride home afterword. Lots to ponder and discuss. Kudos to JBP!

"Don't just do nothing, 'cause you can't. If you do nothing you just get old, and that's something. So there's no doing nothing. You should do something. What? Well, why don't you do what other people do, if you don't know what to do?" In my youth I was a student of mathematics, so I appreciate it when the man goes down to the level of fundamental axioms/axia. Anyone who's ever built anything knows how shaky and unreliable anything that isn't built on a solid foundation can be. Dr. Peterson is deriving and deducting the most relevant aspects of philosophy from first principles here. What an absolute treat!

I always chase love, Dr P. And I lose myself in it. Big time. I’ve experienced too much jealousy blocking me from being me. Think of hearts & bones with Paul Simon singing “this is how I love you, baby” while making the sign for one inch with this thumb & forefinger. Tiny - quiet- manageable- “THIS is how I love you, baby.” I’m gonna try life on my own for a while… big, loud and nearly unmanageable haha that’s why I’m not looking for love again. Yet. Love you 🩵🩵🩵 thank you for being here.
Jordan, I want to appreciate you for always being straightforward. For speaking to us rather than down to us. You’re truly one of God’s gifts to mankind during these crazy times. Romans 8:22-28

If anyone on the team happens to see this, I was wondering if there might be any more Beyond Order lectures available on the Daily Wire eventually? I have seen all of the lectures that are available, up to the Wheatland, CA lecture, and was longing for more, in particular the ones which Rex Murphy of blessed memory introduced. I was not able to attend any of the Beyond Order lectures and counted on watching them on DW. Thank you and God bless you. With Ruth Anne’s love

Doesn't have to be. Watch an old clip of Dolly Parton and Barbara Walters. Labeled Dolly shuts down patronising interview. I know it's misspelled but that's how it's labeled. That way it should come right up. She dated her hunny for 2 years before they got married, and they've been married for, I think it's over 50 years. Not sure where they met, but they've apparently been happy together. Lot easier in those days, maybe, but still.

he made me realise so much. now I am aiming high.
Sometimes, the best way to serve others is to serve yourself. You can't help anyone if you're drowning in your own problems. But if you can get yourself to higher ground, you might find that you become inspired to offer assistance to those who are in as rough a shape as you once were.
All well and good looking for a committed relationship, finding one is the problem.

What I hope for, is that you meant Jordan Peterson is the reason you keep pressing on. That is great. I hope you continue to level up to make your passions, desires, hopes, ambition, compassion, and self actualization your reason to keep pressing on. You should find it in yourself to push you forward because you've got to live with yourself the rest of your life. 👍

It's important to understand that the price you pay isn't so bad. Rockefeller said he found that succesful people are not paying the price, because they like work. You can lower the price by doing something that takes your interest. If you like work, life is heaven if you do not, life is hell. It's the most important lesson that I had to get from Rockefeller. Work is great and love work! It's important.

I’m extremely introverted and I do nothing all day
8:27 HONESTLY think about your family and the world and what it’s shared with you. Remember that when asking for strength we receive weakness so that our strength is revealed by that weakness and we become aware and understand what strength everyone has and to share just as the weakness is shared to reveal our strength that was already there but unfounded. See the weakness is the foundations, nothingness is the foundations for something.
I have been aiming up my whole life, but I only seem to keep descending.
8:00 sacrifice…. It feels like a sacrifice but what are we giving up? Our time? Our life? No, we share it. It may seem like sacrifice but that’s only if you don’t care. If you care to share then you can listen and listening without searching is like finding a pot of gold.
People may not fully understand what it means to take of yourself in a healthy manner, but most people are self-centered by nature and are not necessarily selfless. You don't have to look any further than commuter time on the highway to see my point. The world would be a much nicer place with selfless people.

i always aim up but i always fall down again.
The only miracle I can see myself Getting no credit for, Is my remains vanishing after I pass away like Goku in the Saiyan Saga, after the epic battle with Raditz.
Thoughts are thrift store merchandise. Once in a while something new shows up. Still has a price tag on it. May even fit! "If it isn't new, it isn't you." If it is you, you may turn it back to the store, while it's still wearable. Same with thoughts. Sucking a thought dry, threadbare, useless, is --exactly-- the " thought of self." There's no such a thing. We're all, all of us, relative. 🕊

Yeah, good advice Dr. Peterson, about "if something as horrible and wretched as you had an okay time" *Who* do we think we are?! God?! buddy, if you or I were Him, literally *everyone everywhere* would really be up the creek and completely screwed, often *literally*! Only mankind is dumb enough to think himself "god", that's radically different from trying to see things through His eye-view- the latter is fine, ideal, and *VERY* moral; the former is the *stupidest* thing one can possibly do! I took to periodically listening to some of "Thrawn's Journal" readings on youtube based on a fictional alien man, and he has some *alarmingly good ideas* therein, including a very highly detailed warning to men from the perspective of a combat deep-cover soldier on the hazards of pride- if it gets too big! Now if I were really the absolute *head and founder* of organized crime, lets just say I'd be his boss's pseudo-god, and actually I'd be kind of dead-scared of going after *him* with his grounding in absolute reality; no, I'd want someone either mentally weak (ie: delusional) or someone completely *bad* BEFORE I move in to make a deal and thus enslave him... otherwise I'd leave it to my minions and fuel them for the forseeable future. This wicked alien being is best visualized intitially in USA mythology in the character of "Count Iblis" from "Battlestar Galactica" but one eyeing of its views and *you* Sir, will know *EXACTLY* what it is supposed to be, same head villain as in a type of vampire story in the character described by the pseudonym/alias of "the first".
