No because they weren't interested to learn

Bro, even if Esther had succeeded in killing them all at that point they would have lived for a thousand years anyway. Elijah didn't protect Klaus against the only threat that actually threatened him, Mikael, Klaus survived without him for centuries while he was either in a Coffin or away not knowing where Klaus was, at one point Rebekha was the only one left and even when Esther left Alaric, Klaus managed to survive on his own.

@@genius0498 Elijah did protect him from Mikael When Marcel and Rebekah called Mikael to New Orleans Elijah made Klaus and Rebekah leave so he can distract Mikael and then when Mikael got back on Klaus’ trail Elijah warned him about that so yes every since they became vampires Elijah was protecting his little brother

@@itsmemario8387, you actually forgot the part where all of that was for nothing because Mikael found him anyway and could have killed him in that theater but expressly chose not to as he wanted to make him suffer, and if I am not wrong at that point Elijah was down and we later learnt that Rebekah and Marcel were the reason why Mikael found them, in the first place. The fun fact about it is that for thousands of years every single one of his family members, apart from their dead brother, tried to take Klaus down, Elijah included, yet he survived them all, and if you have watched the show carefully you would notice that most of the time Elijah was standing by Klaus' side was simply because Klaus was emotionally manipulating him, so in the end Klaus survived because of himself first, he used Elijah, he used the Salvatore brothers, he used Rebekah and even used Mikael in the Originals, the only person that made him selfless and therefore vulnerable was Hope.

And then it turned out that their mother wanted to kill them all. 😂

He was the only one who knew Esther well enough not to fall for her loving mother nonsense, Klaus desperately wanted his family back, so he let his guard down but normally Elijah is quite easy to fool, Elena easily tricked him, and Catherina also made a fool out of him, Klaus is often the one who never trust anybody.

It’s not about him having knowledge it’s just common sense and he used his head bcuz of everything Klaus did she forgave him instead of even a stern talk or scolding and wanted a damaged family to simply be a happy go luck family like they did a millennium ago, now if she said this 900 years ago then I’d understand bcuz they haven’t become a mess and impossible to mend so that’s why Elijah had doubts but klaus didn’t since he yearned for the days his family were an actual family and not a total mess excluding his father tho. Klaus himself kept them in boxes and plan to free them when he thought it was the right time to release all his family so they can be one again even after everything he’s done to them so you can understand why he never had doubts.

Oh, Elijah, If only, If only❤ You were Mine He's like a husband, whose onto his wife knowing she's cheating. Elijah is the smartest vampire I have ever seen in the whole show. I fell in love with him the moment, I saw him. It's his personality, his character and how he carries himself. He's just so romantic and polite. When he grabbed Damon by the throat and put him in his place. I said, "LORD!"❤ Klaus, I like him, but he will never compare to Elijah. All that Elijah does for him, his family, everybody. He's the one who need the love. Having to put up with Klaus abuse and his outburts and rage. Elijah knows everything Like on Little Mermaid when Sebastian said, "He knows!"😮 That's Elijah looking at somebody and knowing when they're lying and once he's onto you and looks at you like that, you better Pray 🙏 You better not betray him Klaus, he will rip your throat and heart out in a minute. Elijah has his moments to though when he is angry 😢 But I respect Klaus, because of that Wolf in him. The Wolf is who you are, ypu can't escape it or take it out of you. But he was brutal l, just killing innocent people. I love WereWolf Movies and Vampires, but I just love the shape-shifting and the change.

Elijah has and always will be the smartest original. In tactics, combat, diplomacy, and knowledge of others weaknesses and strengths. He knows spells and what the witches can do. He knows what vampires can do and their weaknesses. He knows werewolves and the powers they are unable to control. If he wasn’t alive, Rebecca and especially Nicklaus would not be alive😂

Always loved Elijah because he even showed how smart he was Finn hated what they were and just wanted to be human Kol and freya were the only witches born and wished to be nothing but that But Freya was stolen and Kol turned into what he thought was a monster so he became one Rebecca dealt with what she could and eventually got used to her vampirism but always wished to be human Elijah fully embraced it but still held on to the past fully having knowledge of spells and even werewolves abilities And Klaus was the hybrid the most powerful and dangerous and wild

😢 I felt bad for Rebecca in this scene. She was so desperate for someone to love her in a normal humane way. But everyone else was either psychotic or suicidal.
