it's true that a lot of people are scared of the word 'work' nowadays, me included. i think it's very helpful to reframe 'work' and 'entertainment' as 'things that are good for you' and things that are not. this way work takes on a positive connotation and it allows you to view every situation individually. so one day work is something good for you and entertainment is just a distraction, and another day you need to recharge, so leisure is good for you that day and work is not

Amy a very genuine question, I am in the last year of my junior high school and almost all the students in my class do not study and they hate studying, all of the time they're having useless discussions of rom-com novels, celebrities and stuff. I , on the other hand, really want to study and so I get a lot of 'stares'. Also I don't like to talk about useless things and I'm more of a bigger fan of deep conversations that are meaningful. I want to ask you that whether you found those productive kinda peeps and if u did then how? bcz tbvh i dont really hv any one who has similar goals and aspirations or even someone whom I can consider as a 'friend'. Lots of love, X

Hi! I would say I had a lot of friends but only 2 close friends who shared similar values to me. Granted, they weren't as passionate about self-improvement so I did feel lonely often times. But I trusted in the values of people I admire so I stuck with the actions I believe in and it paid off because high school is temporary. If there's no one like you, you can still make friends with other people who might be a similar (you just don't have to talk about self-development) but never feel pressure to change yourself to fit in. Your uniqueness is the best part about you.

@@yididiyaabebe6104 That's literally like saying to a homeless person he can get rich if he "changes his mindset" when he doesn't even have food on the, table he doesnt even have. Do you have any idea how self humiliating it is to "change your mindset" and say to yourself "no I can do this im not dumb" and fail agian, and again, and agian?? No. Because prolly, out of the 500 times you tried, half of them were successful while I have failed 485 times. Slow progress my ass cheeks, if it takes 10 years to be able to brush my teeth everyday and just master this ONE habit then it's fucking hopeless.
