This is great! I’ve been wood burning for about a year, but I just ordered my first dremel. I can’t wait to get started!

Seriously!! How could anyone not love that more than the old way! Even if you hated wood spirits, you still would have to like it more than the way it was? If them two pieces of wood, and a light fixture cost 10 bucks, then that lamp now should be no less than 1000.! It’s a beautiful piece! I can’t even imagine making a Tiffany lamp shade for it! I would love to see that!??? Hint Hint…Good stuff Jordy!

Hey Jordy, great carve/ idea! You are 100% correct, you have to keep carving to find your own style! Haven’t found mine yet, but still having “so” much fun. Thanks again.

I like it. I'm going to make time to drop by a thrift store to find treasures. I probably will find stuff I donated before I started carving. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A stained glass shade would be super cool, so would a punched-tin one with some kind of Norse looking theme.

Love it, Jordy!🤩👍 Thanks for experimenting, I learn a lot from your different trials. The new carved base really made it pop too. Using the hot glue worked out well. I've used wood filler for areas like that, and loved it, because I could carve it and smooth it. Maybe not great with natural finishes, but on painted pieces it really blends the joins together. I've got some scrap pieces of 3x3 and 4x4 cedar posts that you've just given me some great inspiration on what to do with them. 😊 Thanks for the video! Fun to watch this piece come together.
