    It's funny how people are. No one in the family cared about kurt ever. He was all alone all the time, on the streets doing drugs and stealing sometimes. Nobody wanted in his house. Once he got famous a passed many family members talk about how cool he was and they even have pictures of him at home. I mean come on. His mom gave e me the same feeling of courtney. Like that there's something wrong. Like everything is too forced when they talk. Like acting or something. Even Kurt's friends showed some kind of sadness when they remember him. Courtney never showed that. Guess she smoked all her brain away. Idk. In fact he spent his last days alone. And we all know the rest. The detective, the dealer, and all that.

    @@michealsteve2249 one of Kurt's friends sprayed with graffiti in a wall "KURT SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT". Teen Spirit was a female deodorant back in the 90s. Kurt said he got inspiration for the title by that graffiti. And the song didn't mean much. He wanted to write a pop song that would stick out and give the band a little airplay. And he succeed. It became their most famous and played song. That's why Kurt hated it so much too. Because it wasn't representing Nirvana to the core. Kurt said in an interview that the line "Here we are now, entertain us" was basically him pulling up with friends to parties and saying "Here we are guys. Entertain us, we came to your party". So in a way Smells like teen spirit was kinda like a punk-pop party song Nirvana created. Not too much thought behind it. Or atleast that's what was meant to be but people kept trying to find some meaning behind it. Most of the lyrics in Kurt's songs were just random. He used to write lyrics ten minutes before recording the albums. (Except a few ones which were more personal to him where he was talking about his struggles, like "Something in the way" or his last recorded song "You know you're right" and a few others). Kurt put most of his attention in his guitar and creating the music, rather than writing deep lyrics.

  • @Charlito732
    @Charlito7325 жыл бұрын

    Do not like this "Teen Spirit" operatic or overdramatic version. "ABOUT A SON" is the best Kurt Cobain documentary. Less hyperbolic, less dark, less mythical and it had more realistic and a sensible approach to Kurt's life. And i don´t believe that exagerated reaction on Kurt's mom. I bet that she didin't emphatically warned him about the imminent phenomenon that would occur. Maybe she was very thrilled, but you can't never predict that huge success Nirvana had from one day to another.

    Montage of Heck is bullshit, it tells the story from Courtney's and his mothers side very well, that should tell you everything. I'm not saying they're artists but they're pretty fucking good at painting a picture. His mother after Kurt's quote in the movie, saying about the "abusive" nature and telling him after she heard nevermind that he wasn't ready for this. I mean, why is Krist not in this a great deal? And where the hell is Dave?! We all know the feud between Dave and Courtney. The director, while capturing the artistic side pretty brilliantly, focuses on this way too much, i don't believe this was kurts psyche. And why the hell is Courtney getting her tits out to an 8mm camera saying, this is what you want to see isnt it when its obviously someone else filming it and then talking about shes a massive flirt and the one time she nearly cheated on Kurt, way to make an insecure guy feel secure 👍I'm not saying he was a saint or right but I feel bad because when I see him with Frances, I see a totally different Kurt, I see a dad and that should have been enough but he toured again, got back into the industry merry go round, had courtney saying she wanted to cheat on him and went back to heroin. I feel bad for Frances because his love and admiration for her was clear, he would have made a great dad. It just shows what a toxic environment can do to you
