Hi. Do you have to plug a cable into the usb port to use Apple car play/Android auto or is it wireless via Bluetooth? I'll be placing an order in a few months for the Trophy version in Dynamic red. Forgot to ask this question when I popped into my local MG showroom.

Do you think any updates will arrive soon such as split seat. Does it have adaptive headlights so you don’t need to keep dipping?

Is it possible to get this car with 2 tone interior like on some of the other models?

Great vid answering many of the questions I had about the MG3. Might I trouble you with a couple more? 1) what's the service interval & does the Atkinson engine require special oil or will a decent 0W20 be acceptable? Also does servicing absolutely need to be carried out at an MG dealer to maintain the warranty? 2) My lad's an extremely hard working NHS doctor. Would MG take exception to him buying the car on the Affinity scheme on my behalf & then transferring ownership to me? If the answer's no, might you also consider him trading-in my car as part of the deal? Thanks.

Hi MrSensible2 The service interval will be the same as all MG's which is every 12 months or 15,000 miles, whichever comes first. It is always best if you get your car serviced at an MG Dealership, especially with a new product like this as we will be best positioned to look after your vehicle. Your son could purchase the vehicle but ownership can not be transferred for at least 6 months. As you are immediate family, you are entitled to use your sons discount to purchase the vehicle directly in your name.

@@PaulRigbyGroup Brilliant! I will talk to my son about this. Funnily enough I tried very hard to persuade my lad to buy an MG ZS EV SE in March 2022. To me, with the then government grant of £1,500, his 12.75% MG NHS discount & the generous part-ex MG Southampton offered him for his old Qashqai, it made for a very, very compelling deal!! Sadly his head was turned by the sexy heads-up display of the Kia EV6 & an NHS salary sacrifice scheme. His dad however is more careful with his money & is always on the lookout for a bargain!

Usually thermal engines on hybrid configurations use 0W8 oil.

@@ivanciuciulian2224 Yes, they do in the US but here in the UK, I think I'm right in saying they're still on 0W20. TBH, speaking as a bona fide expert in crankcase oil formulation, I can't ever say I was a massive fan of the move to 0W8 oils.

The oil indicated by the manufacturer for each individual state will be used because the change must be made at the MG Motor representative office anyway in order not to lose the warranty.

Does it have a USB for a dash cam on rear mirror
