Davus pentaloris: Ight, imma head out Petko: closes door Davus pentaloris: *Understandable, have a great day*
Petko u could take a pic every day of the new African's enclosure so we can see from day to day how much webbing there is!

Time lapse those enclosures lol. My bf suggested that for mine... Surprising since he's not a t fan and didn't want me getting so many lol. (I told him it's an investment in our financial future 😂)
Petko: What are you doing? Tarantula: *My goals are beyond your understanding*

My male P. Mascara was plain brown, hid for 5 months and when it finally emerged, it was about 1.5 inches bigger and purple. It's gorgeous, such an underrated species.
I just love love love the dark den...... and its always a treat to see felix looking for his human dad lol xxxx huge huggles from Scotland uk
Just a Little Tip - > u can carve the Corkplates and just take some Dirt and rub it over - it Looks so good trust me. Greetings :)
Would like to see a night time feeding when the nocturnals are out and about.
Lol Petco says less exciting Nhandu Chromatus... man thats one of my favorites. Its almost like the Tarantula is in a Halloween theme all year round haha. Man i wish i could care for one of them, just a gorgeous Tarantula.
"That can only mean one thing..." Indeed, it means: sand for texture! ;)
Oi Petko, I just wanted to say thank you. I was so afraid of spider's, but since I watch your Videos it got better and better. Now im already thinking of getting my own Brachypelma Hamorii :D
Been here for years watching and still you keep making this fun.
i love how chill B. Hamorii always are, poke poke and they just kinda hold the straw like oh this is for me? mine does the same thing.
Can you do a video ranking your favourite enclosures please? Love your content man keep you the great work ❤️
That Davus pentaloris is a beauty! It's so nice watching all your T's and animals being so comfy in their respective enclosures 😊
It's not much additional space, but to the cute little critters it's like a huge patio extension in the back garden.
Missing the live plants and springtails in rehousing.
I love the cork backgrounds, they remind me of an old wall on an abandoned structure in the desert.
Super exciting, the new Dark Den is really coming along!
Tip for those pretty branches, go next to a river and look inside of the river.. Youll find like 20009873 of them
AW Felix is so cute :) I wanna see more of him ^^
Hey Petko! I discovered your channel not to long ago, and for the past few weeks I've been binge watching all your videos (starting from the beginning!). You've come so far and improved so much (with your English (although this was good to begin with), keeping techniques, presentation etc). I too can honestly say, because of you I understand our 8-legged friends more, and am less afraid of them, and as much as I would now love to have a tarantula of my own, I agree with your sentiment (as in that I would struggle to give it optimal care and attention so it wouldn't be fair). So...now I have to wait like everyone else for that twice-a-week notification for a new video haha! Never change Petko, never change!
"If I was a tarantula, I would enjoy it for sure". Damn those passion Petko 💖.
How dare you say that Nhandu chromatus isn’t exciting lol. That’s one of my favorite tarantulas. They look so bad ass

Because they are so cheap, many people think they are boring. If they were difficult to breed and the prices high everybody would gave them the love they deserve. Same thing happened with G. rosea, after the export ban of Chile the prices jumped so high and now everybody wants G. rosea.

Wolle Wolf Yeah, I can see that. chromatopelma cyaneopubescens is my all time favorite tarantula which is kinda stereotypical I guess but it’s just what I like. Honestly, they all fascinate me. If I had a bunch of them, I’d probably have different favorites once I owned them. I’ve never even owned one tarantula but I really want one and hopefully a lot more later on. There’s definitely some underrated ones though

@@china_sickness7005I have 22 T´s (and a Old World Mystery Box with 3-5 Ornithoctoninae slings is on its way), they are really addicting, cause every one is a beauty on its own. And when you begin keeping T´s you want a diverse collection. Only dwarfs are not my thing. Defintely a satisfying hobby with very low maintenance.

I have 2 chromatus and they’re both the most skittish ones I’ve got. Definitely not boring!
Oh my gosh Petko 1 of your old old old dark den videos popped up in my recommendations And WOW !! you have come so far since the beginning and your channel has grown so much you should be very proud of yourself 😊 from me all the way from Australia and a subscriber since the beginning Well done my friend well done 👏👏👍👍
Great move! Lucky little guys! MASCARA! BEAUTIFUL!
That background looks very nice, Petko. ;)
Finally a Davus Pentaloris vídeo 😂 I've been waiting so long for this
Almost got a heart attack when he reached into the pokie enclosure just to touch the background...
Petco could you try to 3D print them for a woody texture?
Rally love watching the new Dark Den develop. Still some how missing Poopooppuccino.
Love the shirt, Petko, lol.
Petco I use Exo terras and I had same problem with the backgrounds thick polystyrene so pulled them out and now I use rainforest/tropical backgrounds that stick to the outside of the glass, there use on fish tanks but I found some with trees and leaf canopies and they look sweet from inside the enclosures and gives my Ts more space
Your set up is starting to look really good!
1:26 oh shit, the human being is here, Run, run for your life!
I am loving watching all the videos i have to catch up on through my new 4K TV it is so great to see these beautiful Ts on.
Love love love it!!!
I love rehouses ! Do more !!! You should do an update on the dark den
Great job Petko. Always. Tyfs God bless you
Always enjoyed your video! 😊
Hi Petko, sending love from austria 🇦🇹 ! I watch your videos since seasons 2 and can't get enough, you've such a great, real personality and I love that you also show latte, despasito, Felix and your sweet kitty (damn,I forgot her name🙈)
PETKO !!! use a grout on polystyrene or masonry mortar, then the background is hard and the spiders will not do anything, I use this method, the backgraund can then be painted and it will be beautiful
I'd never have thought I'd say this, you've really shown me how beautiful spiders\tarantulas are 🤗 (most of them anyways)😅 I can't thank you enough! I love watching your videos, keep doing what you do💚
Hey Petko, would love to get an update on the big Paludarium :)
Great video as usual.
Zoomed also makes cork sheets in a darker color. Those look a lot better and are practically the same to work with. Just a tip 🙂
Bad, bad, tarantulas!! Tearing up their enclosures.
Great video. Your t-shirt is amazing 👌
Amazing as usual really enjoyed your video thanks from Scotland 🏴
Best of all is Felix at the end!
Hi Petco. Im your Jewish grandma in Calif. Love your vlog because i learn so much.
PLS DONT SKIP THE PART WHERE U PUT ALL THE STUFF INSIDE THE ENCLOSURE LIKE WERE U PUT CORKBARK, BRANCES, ETC. THAT IS THE REALLY GOOD PART.
beautiful! ❤️
Looking forward to see some isopods for your new pets 😊😁
Do a TP style with the wood pieces for a heavy webbing tarantula
I really hope you see this Petko!! TSHIRT IDEA ALERT!!! 🧥👚🧥👚🧥👚🧥 I imagine a cute but large spider species, and him/her standing there with the front legs in the air (technically a threat pose, but in this idea in my head it's just an attitude pose lol!) With the caption I came up with underneath saying "DUDE! You call yourself The Dark Den!? .. Then why is there so much frickin' light!?" Or something along those lines 😂😂
If you get an airbrush you can make the background more fun to look at and some paints are animal safe
Dark den is starting to come together, look up
I would love to see a video on how to build one of the glass enclosures
I want to be a professional tarantula enclosure maker. I'm scared of spiders, but it looks like a lot of fun!
I'm super excited you're making such progress, you're almost done so you can come help me with my new T den, I'm driving across country in 10 days with 50+ T's and spiders, oh and one cat hehe. I negotiated with my bf and he's giving me the finished basement and one sunny upstairs room for my T's, fish and reptiles oh, and my mantis. So I'm ready to get some help from everyone! Lol
Best part of Monday !!
loved it!
Lol. Felix, the ever vigilant watchman of the Dark Den.
Every time you show Felix it's a thumbs-up immediately
Tbh man i really have a big fear of rocks/stones inside tarantulas enclosures, sometimes tarantulas tend to dig down, even species that isnt known to do so does it from time to time, since the coco fiber is fairly lose there is a big chance that if the tarantula digs under it, it might fall down and crash her, which is a risk i was never willing to take for the sake of it, if i did end up using rock inside enclosure it will be siting on the glass bottom of the enclosure and half way covered with soil. also for the background, i remember back in 2009 robc did a lot of videos on how he is making them, using black silicon some dry cocofiber and wood pieces and sticking them in some order to the back of the enclosure which took him only a few min and it would look amazing and hold up really well, he would first stick the wood shells the way he likes and than dump dry coco fiber and some dry java moss sometimes on it and pack it down, after it dried he would shake it and the end result would always look impressive. also i watch your videos for years so i know well enough that you do care and know how to keep tarantulas, im just sharing my personal opinions and thoughts.

Hey petko :D van you please do a full tour if your collection? I know you hate those long videos but I would be so happy D: your videos Are way too short haha :D huge fan from denmark. Ever since i starte watching your videos in the first dark den i prodly own 20 turantulas now and im dreaming of a dark den of ny own! Your a huge inspiration to me petko :D thank you for All your videos and Hard work! :D
lol they look so funny when they get all stubborn and not wanting to move haha
Do you already had a video that after you rehouse the spiders, where does their old substrate goes? Just curious where it goes.
walking away from an open enclosure to grab leaf litter is very risky!
Felix is the highlight of every video he's in. Not that the rest of the content isn't great too :)
I love rehouses, the more the better lol
I can only recommend you to use xaxim as background.. i dont know if its the same word in english but we call it xaxim.. its natural, it looks insane, its easy to cut, its easy to break, its literally amazing.. Takes only 10% of the time as a styrofoam background and only 10% of the mess, ITS AMAZING And even if the spider decides to bite it it doesnt matter bacause it will be just more xaxim behind so it will only look even better because of new shapes
loooooove the Davus
I agree the new backgrounds will be better
I love Felix!!
In regards to styrofoam backgrounds. My friend will kill me for calling it that but he works with such materials and managed to get me leftovers of a harder styrofoam that should be nearly impossible for a T to destroy. It's a bit harder to work with as I broke 2 box knives to make 1 background but if you get a thermal knife it should work perfectly. As long as you can get your hands on some of it. I even consider sculping a tree trunk for an arboreal T out of this stuff.
Nice video you should set up a time laps on them so we can see them webbing up
wow never knew spiders can do that.. just wow all in all its better for sure love your cages very much and spiders are happy new home woohooo have you got another jumping spider pekro ..thanks so very much.. wow love the webbing so cool
When are you gonna sell us those .stl files? Love how your new setup is coming along!
its so weird anyone else notice the fact dark dens tarantulas are slower moving, less bolty and less aggressive and then exotics are just straight bolty and ultra aggressive ahahahah

Yea idk what is going on with Petko's tarantulas, they are so calm and chill. When he poke chromatus and he didn't do anything but just move I was like wtf mine would jump out of the box and end with a threat posture biting everything xD
Been watching your videos for a while. Have you ever kept a Citharacanthus cyaneus? Very pretty violet dwarf species with some very odd burrowing behavior. Unlike most fossorial tarantulas I've been keeping, these like to make a burrow that is many many times bigger than I would expect. A 3cm juvenile has a burrow the size of my fist!
You should paint the backgrounds black or something similar to make it more aesthetically pleasing
what do you do to make your woodbranches mold free? put em in the freezer? Also, is any woodbranch from the forest good enough?
Hello nice to meet you feel i could ask you if i should take Achantoscuria geniculata i have to keep it a dry or humid environment thanks
Do you disinfect all the sticks, leafs and wood before using it for the tarantulas?
one question wich kind of terras do you use can you give us a link pls many greets from germany excellent video
I don't remember asking. But, damn that was a good idea!
Where did you get that amazing shirt???? P.s love the content!
A tschakka-tschakka for the algorithm !
Noice
That was a lot of web in the one enclosure, did you consider a timelapse for it?

Hello there!
I love ur shirt lol
Felix always watching
Wouldn't cork plates, which are left natural on one side, be close to an ideal solution? They have great texture, look very nice, aren't easily destroyed, are a natural product, can simply be glued to the background and only need to be cut to fit the enclosure dimensions.

This does sound like a great idea. Better looking than corkboard but less hassle than styrofoam.
I love watching you make up you're enclosures there ace
Dammm already over? I wanted to see more
Which video is the harpactira pulchripes rehousing in?
my favorit type of videos (although I will watch them all the minute you upload lol)
