i can already tell hwei's never gonna get any great skins. It'll be either: A - riot completely gives up on his color-coded visual clarity for the sake of actualy making skins for the guy and they all miss the mark OR B- he never ever gets skins because it's too much damn work to design a new skin that works with his VFX colors, kinda like why Udyr was a nightmare(and still is a lil bit) to make new skins for. Riot shot themselves in the fucking foot with this champion, almost every aspect of it demands so much attention to properly adress that i honestly think he'll be forgotten way harder than most champions and it's on purpose.

It looks like they already did option A with his winter blessed skin. All of his abilities are very similar in color, (including the ink stream indicator on his back). Meaning the best way to tell what ability he might use would be to look at his stance, which is hard to see sometimes and not as useful as the color coding. Playing his winterblessed skin is already a slight buff because it makes it harder for your opponent to guess what option you’ll choose.

@@MrBsosa Using the Pink chroma makes it even harder to tell which stance you're going into - he legitimately has the same color whenever choosing a stance!

Do you not enjoy using his E,W root or is it only good for following up on other people's CC? I feel like you rarely use it compared to hwei's other abilities, is it not good for like predicting where someone will walk and then using Q,W which deals more dmg to immobile champs or is that just hard to pull off so it's better to use other abilities that are faster to hit

its hard to pull off: it has three delays; cast time, fly time and lock on time; but also it can be interrupted by minions; and also it can be escaped from

Did we watch the same video? he used it a lot during the lategame of game 1 on this video, seems like he has grown accustomed to using it more now. He used it much less in his previous vid but EW is very good when used at the correct timings and frankly carried a lot during game 1 of this video.

Imo its good for follow up cc and scouting/zoning. Other than that it can be a bit unreliable for cc.

@@realhcassassin4081 Well to be honest I was just genuinely surprised by your comment, I was half expecting people to say he used it too much during some parts of this video. EW is very good in the right scenarios, and it seems like quantum went from using it barely in his last vid to almost overcompensating during some parts of this one. He seems to be getting a lot better with Hwei's choices regarding abilities. But your current inquiry was about its use in early-game. IMO its harder to use in laning, but can be very good botlane due to having CC on support. EQ often does a better job at surviving ganks, but there are a few scenarios where you can put down EW prematurely on top of you as a defense. Also during laning the best use of EW is probably trying to pressure under tower, when pushed up. As the delay makes it a safer tool for harassing in those scenarios.

Hwei is not so hard, it's just stressful to understand what to press in the teamfight and not to panic. Asol is much easier mechanically, but more difficult strategically
