Ngl it's really nice to see how fucking good you are with him on your first game. This is by far my favorite champion they've made in the last decade, so I really hope to see more of him from you!

For those that are confused about Hwei think of his Q as damage button his W is support button and E is cc button.

Idk the champion seems super undertuned. I played a lot of Hwei on PBE and he was pretty good with the updated items. They nerfed him on PBE and even with the new items, unless he gets some fixes, he's probably gonna be still a bit underwhelming. Its somewhat similar to last year where K'sante was underperforming until Jak'Sho and IBG came out, but like, the other mages and assassins just shit on him atm and probably after item updates.

@@d4s0n282 even then, if he's balanced on the new items, the existing control mages just fuck him. They will have the new items as well. Hwei, unlike ksante DOESNT have an item that tailors towards kit like Iceborn does with sheen or jak sho + gargoyles with his ulti interaction.

Don’t agree. Played him quite a bit on live and I think he’s definitely strong. QE is the most broken waveclear ability in the game. A giant Morgana pool that hits the entire wave, slows, on a 5 second CD. This alone means he can never be bullied out of lane. Past mid game WQ is a huge AoE MS buff that gives you more mobility than most mages. People are spamming E way too much, especially knowing there are assassins and divers on the enemy team. Save it for peel like Xerath and Lux, don’t walk up if it’s on CD. Combined with WW he’s very difficult to dive.

@@LawsofPaul His qe is the most broken waveclear ability in the game, except all the others... He needs either 2 casts of it or an item to kill ranged minions, while most mages can waveclear faster than that.

always rush boots on hwei first to make up for his bad movement spd, i like going burn with first strike since it gives you more money in lane and increase liandries dmg, after that i go cosmic to have more versatile combos and escape potential

Liandry's feels so much better on Hwei compared to Luden's due to how his Q an E cooldowns scale.

I've won 9 of my first 10 Hwei games so far, and what I will say is that Ghost feels like a necessity. Like you said, he's crazy slow, and his wave clear is usually good enough where you can get away with not running TP. Just my thoughts though

Ya I mean I play them on the one and have play vs them and I will tell you one thing. I hate qe with a passion. I am a otp so I don’t plan I really playing this champion but like qe wave in to anything else is so annoying. After lost chapter it’s 2 we’d and wave is gone. It’s really hard to punish this champ but if you get slot of movement speed you just run them down so easily. They have 1 cc spell that’s it and it’s not even that bad cc to play against so like ya. If you use ee I think that the speed it’s a free run down window and ew is super easy to dodge if you see him cast it.
