A collection of very rare outtakes, some of which were used in MuchMusic bumpers and promos in the early days. You do you recognize?
Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. We also hope to create an ongoing oral history of this content through comments left below the videos. When I was younger I thought MTV was "cooler" than MuchMusic but now looking back I think MuchMusic was the better one, they were having fun and didn't take themselves too seriously.

Yah I agree, I only enjoyed MTV for Beevis and Butthead. Much music also had rapcity which was way better than MTVs version.
This is cool. I remember when they aired a Much promo in 1995, where Dave Grohl said "Hi this is Dave from Nirvan...oh! Whoops, I said the wrong band" then they aired the correct bumper "Hi this is Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters and you are watching Much Music". I've been trying to see if anyone recorded this. No luck yet!
Much music should do a "where are they now" for all the past VJ's
I never forgot "This is Geddy Lee as you can see."

I was a kid …7/8 when these promos were shot but damn am I happy too get to see them now!
