Your words so reflect childhood resolve to be invisible. Those earliest childhood relationships healthy and unhealthy forged the template for what I believed about myself and others. A mixed bag of shame for needing love and experiences when I was loved created a confusing vortex of survival during childhood and a life long process of connecting, expressing and coming to love my self. For I have learned in order to love others one must love themself first.

Serious query: Having lived in San Antonio for a total of 6 years with the USAF, Austin was always the “go to” spot in TX for “liberal thought “ in a very conservative state. Is Houston becoming the new Austin?
