We hear from all kinds of people in this world what will make us happy. How has that worked out for us? Madly chasing sensory pleasures not only does not deliver the happiness we seek, but it also tends to destroy peacefulness, an essential foundation for happiness.

In both ways Rupert describes, there is not any resistence to the negative emotions. At the same time, full of respect to Rupert, I don't understand why he tries to difference Tantra from Vedanta, when Tantra contains all the 112 methods of meditation that exists, (moreover, the self-surrender, that is not a "method"), included this vedantic approaches that he mentions. Anyway, I mention it like a simple curiosity, because it is not useful to lose oneself in semantic questions.

Birds...birds ...birds. ACIM Chapter 25 IV.The Light You Bring 5 In you is all of Heaven. Every leaf that falls is given life in you. Each bird that ever sang will sign again in you. And every flower that ever bloomed has saved its perfume and its loveliness for you. What aim can supersede the Will of God and his Son, that Heaven be restored to him for whom it was created as his only home? As Rupert spoke of the Bird, the delightful sound and their colourful feathers they are such a delightful Joy. These amazing bundles of Joy are abundant here in Australia, living next to a Forrest, each day to see and hear them is so heavenly. 🦜🦘🕊🦋 (snakes and kangaroos live with us)

It sounds like Rupert has come across something new. Lester levenson taught “ the release technique” for decades and his student hale dwoskin teaches something similar known as ‘ the Sedona method”, both incredibly effective ways of easily letting go of trauma and heavy emotions and stuck sensations. Maharishi mahesh yogi taught Feeling the body” and gangaji and many Buddhist practices dive deep i into the sensations and feelings until they dissolve. All are good tools including Rupert’s . Just nothing new

Deepak thinking he has no trauma or harbors no emotions is somewhat delusional :) Most traumas have no memory as they happened when we were preverbal. We all have trauma with varying levels of resolution.

lol....yeah, he does like to hear himself speak. It's also very clear that Deepak has a lot of preconditioning from which he attempts to filter information through. Same thing my mother does with her memes on Christianity. As Elon Musk one time said, "I don't think people should try to live forever, because those in power don't tend to change their minds....they just die". Rupert is so clear headed, he goes so directly to experience, that he mind is not clouded by generations of memes and dogmatic ideas that just won't die.

You say it's our reaction, our resistance to difficult emotions that causes the pain. But we aren't resisting, we aren't doing anything. It's all just happening or isn't it? Noone is "doing" anything. You can't "resist" or "not resist". Isn't this the truth?

  • @ArjunKumar-gz8ze

Of course Moonglow you are right from the point of view of Consciousness everything is happening, but who is resisting is it ego or Consciousness?
