You spoke only facts! 🔥And this is why A.I art will always feel dead and soulless. There is no love behind it, no journey behind it, it is truly worth nothing because it can never produce the most important part of art, the process. The love and enjoyment of the creation process. And that’s something I had to learn myself 😅

Yeahhh!! One thing AI can never nail down is an individual's specific expression. You'll never get the image that's in your head through AI. There's also some fulfillment to be had with trying to achieve that image in your head itself through manual means. Thanks for watching as always😃

The realization that your fav artist goes through a creative process just like you, and that their work isn't just created by this magical being... man it really makes me feel like I can do anything. Great video Chris, and also happy belated birthday!

The problem with AI being better is that corporations and companies are not interested in art they try to sell being from human. If AI is good enough and cheep, they’re going to use it. They don’t care about morality of it, they’re just making money.

I totally agree and think that's horrible. I was mainly coming at it from an expression standpoint since I've seen artists say their voice means nothing due to AI and such. I've seen the perception of AI art use slowly start to turn negative tho, so maybe that's a sign of popular opinion starting to change on the use of it. I guess we'll have to see in the end. Thanks for the comment!

I agree with your sentiment. Art is never about skill (though skill can help), it's about you, the creator. Your art represents your outlook, your struggles, your ideas, the world that lives in your head. Your art is you, it represents you, and is an extension of you as a person. Shows like Evangelion wouldn't be the way it was without the vision and mindset of the creator themself. This is something tech bros will never understand, and is a reason why I think AI will never grow legs for the long run and become another tool of destruction for the ill intended

100 percent agree. I feel as though the culture of creating art will never fall off due to something like AI. There's too many personal experiences and expressions tied to the act of creating art for people to drop it in mass. Thank you for commenting🤙🏽‼️

For real though, I yearn to sometimes see some type of art class with a focus on the entire mental side and everything that comes with it. We're our own worst enemy in the creative world, we should teach people how to shield eachother from themselves! Most people don't give up because they don't have what it takes, they give up because somewhere along the line, they've told themselves that this is it. And that's sad to see. Oh and you know what. I like your art and you got a new follower. There, I said it! Keep on keepin' on!

Facts man sometimes as artists we can end up getting lost in our own heads and it stops us from improving Its never been so easy to learn as an artist but its also never been so easy to compare your art with others , ai, social media there's alot telling you to stop improving but you just gotta push past that and in enjoy the journey 🗣️

The part about art not being about skills kinda snapped me out of procrastinating art. I guess I've always been a perfectionist and focused on results, but I think I get it now. Sure some people are always going to be the better at technical art skill, but that doesn't matter for our own art where we make it what we want it to be. So we should train ourselves to the point where we can use those skills to be free and do what we want, not to one up someone else. In that sense, even with horrible art skills, if you can make what you want with those skills, then you can make art you are proud of. I always remember ONE the creator of One Punch Man and how their art skills or at least their drawings were very basic and scratchy but they achieved what they wanted the art to achieve and now look, they're one of the most famous manga authors. Not to mention that "bad" art ended up forming the art style for Mob Psycho 100 and that is now one of my favorite art styles of all time. So thanks for making this video, all the points you made were so spot on, I'm definitely saving this video for later and subscribing!

For me, I find it hard to ignore the final destination in my head. Knowing full well I must appreciate and at times endure the journey of art. In my head I have these images of my grand finished work. Then I compare that imagination to current progress and my morale plummets faster than a sinking ship! To quote or copy from a great person, Truly, I think it can be said that artists and those learning art or searching for their existence - are in the arena.

I definitely get that. One of the things I did to really learn to enjoy my art again, was by getting off of socials and drawing only the things I wanted to. This helped me establish a better relationship with my art. Getting back into the headspace that the journey of art is enjoyable is so important. It makes it easier to enjoy your current art and eventually improve when you get back to drawing for practice as well.

Art is first and foremost about self-expression ✨💯 and the more I develop in the fundamentals, the more freedom I have in that expression. Growing up, teachers and family members would ask me what I would occupy my time if I could do anything and money wasn't an issue. I would always say drawing or art. I just have this psychological compulsion to sketch stuff.

I have to admit i have a habit of seeing someone else's art and if mines doesn't look as great as that person's i start wanting to give up. However for me its about expressions and making friends in the community or even just being alone with my art

Thank you so much for this video, honestly I was struggling with liking my art currently. Honestly I’ve been at this point when I’m in improvement limbo where I feel like I can’t produce full illustrations because I have so much to learn but I forgot why I started creating art in the first place. As you said you have remember you can’t control everything and while there are some days you may not like something you drew there will be other days where you do. I like when you ramble tbh because I know it will help other artists who feel this way. I don’t know if you have already but I’d like if you can do a video on perfectionism because I think a lot of artists struggle with this and feel that we often allow this to hold us back. But again really liked this video thank you!❤❤

Art friend groups should be something to look forward to. The "art community" in general, especially online - best steer clear from that circle-jerk of a cancerous growth. No offense, but it's counterintuitive, especially to those struggling with their own confidence.

No offense taken🤙🏽 I look at those two terms synonymously so I'm glad you made the distinction 😁 I believe there are different kinds of sub communities within the art community that can both help or harm. I hate drawing and view art as a pointless waste of time. Yet i can't stop drawing and its bee like this for about 2 years. I despise my art and art in general, and have been drawing out of habit and compulsion. I wish i could find some way of giving up on this nonsense. But give me anything to write and something to write on and i will draw.... its a waste of time.
