Yoshimura RS-4 Full Exhaust System Installed on a 2019 Honda CRF450L Dual Sport Adventure Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Reduces weight, increases horsepower, and now my bike sounds like a thumper ought to. What's not to love? Other than melting your pants and burning your elbows, that is.

    Hey John. Perfect video! I just commented on another of your videos and I did remember this one about the Yoshi installation. I'm actually in my garage putting my Yoshi on my CRF right now and couldn't remember if that thick spacer went between the muffler mount bracket or that mid pipe bracket. I put it in the correct location before the video but wanted to verify. Then I re-watched the entire video again. You are like the online Chilton manual for the CRF. Take care! -Bret

    Hey John just commented on one of your other vids about the vortex, thanks for the reply. If anyone is interested I removed the heat shield for the stock exhaust and put it back on the yoshi pipe. It pretty much fits right on there, then I not burning my boot on it. One advantage of the stock muffler/ pipe is it gets so flippin hot if it were clean, I am convinced you could cook on it in a pinch. LOL Thanks

    I never like add-ons to bikes, but that's a nice looking muffler. When I moved to LA in '85 the smog was still bad, you would see a brown cloud form around Ontario as you drove in from AZ, and get darker all the way to LA. But it got a little better every year, and now its not too bad at all. If CA didn't have the smog restrictions, a lot of people would have health problems, and probably die a lot sooner.

    As lean as the bike runs, leaning it out even more will probably make your bike run hot, at least the exhaust. Not that that in itself will hurt anything. Me, myself, I'd wait to do any sort of distances until the ECU came it. I melted my number plate!

    Pretty much required on a new bike these days. Intake, fueling and exhaust upgrades. A lean condition, particularly off idle makes for abrupt throttle response. Oh, and the smog? Unleaded gas pretty much took care of that.

  • @JohnTYoung

    @JohnTYoung

    4 жыл бұрын

    There are 10 maps to choose from one the ECU. You turn the dial to the map that works with your pipe and is the type of power you'd like to achieve. There are three other dials to fine tune low, mid, and high throttle positions, AKA fuel trim. To change the map you turn the dial with a small screw driver.
