    I have a question, I’ve only seen tekken 7 and notice there were set ups like that unblockable sword spin and other things like that. Now I see that they are completely absent even king set ups. So are they just non existent in tekken 8?

  • @FujinFoxTK

    @FujinFoxTK

    3 ай бұрын

    No, they definitely are still happening in T8. You can use unblockables out of heat dash for one. If you mean the full crouch sword sweep on oki at the wall though, it kind of feels like higher level players are looking for consistency there? It's hard to say. I feel like I saw it more too. Today I saw someone do, iirc, b1 f1+2 after wallsplat into sword sweep. I'm pretty sure it was f1+2. And I've seen Kane and EM use similar setups, albeit not as frequently. Anyways, I'm sure with all the new changes people just need time to find the optimal stuff. Figuring all that out is above my pay-grade lol

  • @hsiangyuchen4198
    @hsiangyuchen41984 ай бұрын

    For the sample combo I cant seem to land the final 1+2 after the dash 3, 2. Tried to mash dash after the d2,2,2 but the final 1+2 still whiffs.

  • @FujinFoxTK

    @FujinFoxTK

    4 ай бұрын

    So, what's happening is that you're probably not going into NSS mid combo. After you launch, follow up with d22 HOLD BACK(NSS), d222, dash 3,2,1+2. 1+2 will hit ONLY with the added range of NSS.

  • @hsiangyuchen4198

    I think you should just dive in. I started taking Tekken seriously in 7, and I felt the same way about Yoshimitsu and Kazuya. I avoided playing those characters for like 2 years because I kept telling myself that they were too hard or I didn't understand the game well enough. Man, forget all that. Don't think this way. That's years of practice I missed out on because of a lack of confidence. The time is going to pass regardless, so you might as well play the character you want to be playing. I promise you that when you lose match after match after match, you'll have more fun with a character you love. You wanna be a yoshi main? Be a yoshi main.
