I spent a week in Yosemite in 2000 summer after 5th grade. Hiked up Sentinel Dome, spent time in Mariposa Grove, and still, all these years later the parks iconic natured is burned into my memory. I hope to visit again someday. Absolutely beautiful.

I've been to Yosemite only three times despite living about 2.5 hours away. The large crowds can be overwhelming at times during the summer. I really like going during the spring or fall. Still beautiful no matter what season you visit. Up next Mount Rainier and Crater Lake! Two parks I know very well. Really loving this series.

Awesome video. For Mt Rainier, the Paradise area, along with its Skyline trail which can lead up to Camp Muir, are must-covers. Sunrise is another notable area, with its trail to the Fremont fire tower.

I visited for the first time back in April with my brother. Such an incredible place. My brother set out early one morning during our stay to catch the sunrise over the valley. He claims very fervently that on his trek to Tunnel View from Wawona that a "very big white coyote" was walking calmly in the road in front of him and qhen he approached it turned slowly and made eye contact for a couple seconds. He said that if he didn't know any better, he'd have said it was a wolf. It was only after that happened we looked up 'White wolf Yosemite' and found that there were locations within the park called 'White Wolf'

God, I love this place. Each time I go there it genuinely feels like a religious or spiritual experience. I leave feeling renewed. I’m so thankful places like Yosemite exist. Go there, but leave an invisible footprint so places like this can be there for future generations.

I just spent 10 days backpacking in the Virginia Canyon area of Yosemite. 2:18 - Those are elk, not present in Yosemite.

Loving the National Parks series, as someone who wants to go to a lot of them. So far I’ve only been to five, one of which is Gateway Arch and shouldn’t even count.

Yosemite is an awesome natural park. The only problem is how it's about 10,000 feet elevation and you may feel a bit out of breath when you go on hikes.

Make sure you pack a razor though, walking into Yosemite is known to make you grow a cowboy moustache larger than your bodymass.

I think square miles would be a lot more comprehensible for area instead of acres.

Great places like this will fall to rich people when lobbyists get Congress to back out of protection for these areas. Sad to see it go.
