Yooperlites, glowing rocks of Lake Ontario, Canada

Yooperlites, glowing rocks found on the rock beaches of Lake Ontario Canada side. These rocks are found all over the great lakes. Yooperlites glows bright orange under UV flashlight.
It's actually a ton of fun rockhounding at night with a UV flashlight.
First discovered by Mr. Erik Rintamaki from U.P Michigan using UV flashlight, check out his website:

Do you think the US side of Lake Ontario has them? I'm planning a trip there soon and would love to find some.

They're there, but they're VERY rare. I've been to three beaches and only found one, and that was after 2 hours of searching the beach. Though it was a nice potato size one with a good number of sodalite inclusions. There will be an absolute shitton of fluorescent fluorite and biogenic calcite wherever you go though.
