What is Korean media and society trying to do? To push another great actor to his limits? He took prescribed drugs and harmed noone. And he has depression and anxiety. Instead of being mean to the actor, you should show support. The world is watching. Korean society should stop with the harassment and overexaggeration. Any person can be in his place. This is just ridiculous.

Nothing should go in the media until after all investigations, court and stuff so people involved dont get depressed. False stuff that comes out especially in asian countries drives people to suicide its sad. They should make new rules to that like they made new rules to kpop. I hate media. Hope he stays strong.

You know, celebrity or not, his depression and mental health issues and how he deals with it was NONE of anybody else's business in the first place. Especially in a country where those issues are stigmatized, it is his absolute right whether or not divulge these things. It is not just an issue of not sleeping because of the pain - I can't even imagine what demons this man must be fighting to have to take such extreme measures to deal with it. What does it matter if he lied? Who wouldn't in his situation? This isn't a superhuman, this is another imperfect human being suffering through whatever most of us are lucky enough not to experience.

@justsaynah5205 Agree with you some what. In another report, they said that because of an injury that caused him pain, he could not sleep. I understand that. I am fighting cancer for the second time, and I understand pain that can not allow you to sleep. I've gone almost 72 hours straight. The desperation you feel for like of sleep is hortible. It's a bit better now, i can sleep an hour or two nights and days, but pain and sleepless persist.. I also had lied to doctors in order to get more tranqualizers/propofol and fentanl. Some doctors catch on, and some don't. The issue I have with him (IF TRUE) is the identity thefts. He is now destroying people's lives in the process. He should have asked for help, but being a man, that's like admitting defeat in most cultures, and this is why I am torn.

@@justsaynah5205 Agree with you some what. In another report, they said that because he has an injury that causes him pain and lack of sleep. Pain and lack of sleep I understand him. I am fighting a second battle with cancer and I know pain and lack of sleep. I've gone up to 72 hours without sleep and you are desperate and cannot control your body or your mind. My nurse got me into dramas because I couldn't even pick up my brushes to paint. I have been giving anything you can think of including what he is being investigating with and the zombie dr*g. I also have lied to doctors exagerating pain just to get more. Some doctors have caught on, some don't. Again, the issue I have is that (IF TRUE) he is hurting people by stealing their identities. That is not right. I do not care what you guys say. He is now bringing a different type of pain to someone else to help himself with his so he is not caring about someone else's pain. It may sound dramatic but, it is pain nonetheless and we cannot say this is ok. I wish that he could have asked for help but, I also know that men ususally don't do that because that would be like admitting defeat and that even in my culture is looked down upon. I hope for the best for him--honestly. I hope he gets help. It is not the police job to give him help but he has enough money where he can get help himself, quietly.

I've gone through every types of paink*11ers possible and sometime it wants to work others time no. I've taken what is accused of taking and yes, I've also lied to get more from my doctors. some believe me others not so much. The issue with him is(IF TRUE) is that he is also accused of ste@1ing people's identities to purchase that. Now, he is bringing pain unto others for his relief. I do not care what you guys say, this is horrible. That I want him to get healthy--no doubt. I am a fan but, wrong is wrong. Getting help for his pain is one thing. Destroying people's lives is another.

Knetz are like Hiler's SS units, allowed to do what they want, same with mefia, police, chaebols, while being idol or a celeb mens they can treat them lije Hitker treated Jews. Only over my dead body lol. If SK goverment won't protect its own citizens by equal standards, man, thete are plenty of consumers of korean halyu around the world that can easily show to SK goverment that this may have a financial price. I definitely wob't buy any product from country in which human rights aren't respected. Be it music, film or else.

Please protect Korean actors and idols. Korean people post hate speeches a lot in this idol’s accounts. like when g dragon was charged with drugs then he proved he was innocent, people kept talking bad about him and after people just acted as if they didn’t say shit about him.

Have Korean netizens got any compassion at all? Will they only be happy if another wonderful actor is pushed to breaking point? He needs empathy and grace right now. This whole judgemental attitude needs to stop. As the saying goes Let he without sin cast the first stone. Enough is enough now.

Yoo Ah In has been very vocal supporting women in the film industry and giving women fair treatment. I have watched kdramas showing how they treat female employees (in any industry) and how men with power can easily get away with SA. I guess Yoo Ah In might’ve hurt some male directors in hindsight and they worked on destroying yoo’s career. Yoo became depressed for not getting any more good projects and his movies and series were not “hyped” compared with other kdramas. That i guess was when he started using those drugs. Not only for cosmetic surgery etc. Many plot holes could be realized once you think about how he was able to use drugs for more than 1 year then suddenly got busted,(someone must’ve betrayed him).

Mind game they are playing with people. Have already had one death last year. And now what is next!!? YooAhin is a good actor. Understand his condition, Not to point fingers for the drug scandals. Why?? Because he is struggling with health and media issues accusing him of making him a criminal. PLEASE 🙏 learned their lesson. We don't know what's happening tomorrow. right?! 🤨

If Korea wants to end the career of Yoo ah in it will be their loss. A great actor with many accolades to his name. Have SK ever thought it's the way the industry pushes actors way beyond what's healthy. Ok in SK rules taking drugs is a no no but help the actor to get clean by finding out why Yoo ah in took the drugs in the first place. Really mean and cruel to cast him out without a second chance after a career that has made millions for SK entertainment industry. No wonder suicides are rampant amongst SK celebrities if it's that easy to end someone's livelihood.

Does this mean he's not going to act again? What a waste of talent. I don't want to justify what he did, but korean society is just being too much. You have to support people not only when successful but also in crisis. People are harming others seriously and getting away with it. This poor person harmed no one but himself.

The drug charges probably wouldn't even be a thing if he weren't also gay. Dude needs to seek asylum in a European country where it's not criminalized to be depressed and seek out medication. Anyone would be depressed if the paparazzi press constantly hounds your every move. Chill and let the guy have some peace.

You still have not learned anything after lee sun- kyuns harassment. You drink alcohol like water. You celebrate being drunk in every k-drama. But you know, alcohol is a drug too. And makes people addicted and they can die of it. But obviously this seems to be ok for your country. Your behaviour is so hypocritical.

Countries, no matter how beautiful and great in many areas, are not perfect and should change and evolve. These rules are excessive and display a lack of compassion, a persecutory approach by the police disproportionate towards the issue involved that baffles me.

True. Korea is a soverein nation and as such, who are we(foreigners) to dictate what they should legalize or not? It is up to the people to change its laws. We do not want to see another star lost in such a horrible way. He is also not just charged with purchasing drugs. He stole family members' identity and as much as I love his work, that is a no-no for me--IF TRUE. Also, let us clean our countries before we focus on someone elses.

@@TheProudWife515Nobody dictates SK to change it stupid laws. Criticism is not a dictate. However we demand justice when Korean police and media breack SOUTHKOTEAN valid laws, SOUTHKOREAN CONSTITUTION and human rights guaranteed by SOUTHKOREAN CONSTITUTION and Universal charter of human rights. B8g difference. They abused laws as well the power of a repressive organ in Lee's, Yoo's and G-Dragon's case. Lee was pushed in death because of it. As far as I can see, nobody is found responsible yet. No investigation going on. What World things was recently clearly demonstrated by LA film critics association that posthumously gave the highest reward to Lee for his contribution to film. Apso his ladt film Sleepers is invited to International Tokyo Fulm Festival. I hope that Korean government understand this spontaneous protest against what they did to Lee, and messages behind it. Words of mr. Bong Joon Ho had huge echo around the worlld. So where is independent investigation into police's unlawful itreatment of Lee? Where are korean civil rights organisations to raise their voice when institutions astray from law? Where are they when Yoo needs protection against being proclaimed guilty before court even established if police's accusations stand?
