Gonna add some lines here for those who don't want to know It's been a while since I played it but I think the song plays once in the game.There's also a radio item in a static position that plays the song among other things.

Oh wow, didn't see that coming. I bought both of these on Vita and absolutely will advocate for them, they're lovely horror games despite the cutesy aesthetic. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who enjoys RPG Maker horror/exploration games like ib, The Witch's House, Mad Father, Yume Nikki, .flow, and so on. Also play with headphones on, the sound design is excellent.

Japanese themed horror games evoke emotion, no not simply fear and despair and shock factors, but primal emotion such as loneliness and sadness.

They should add at least onr carácter on Smash, instead of wasting slots on non switch games (P5). NIS May not be the biggest name in japan but They were one of the first companies to support Nintendo.

So happy to see these coming to Switch! Loved playing them on Vita/PC, and I'll happily play them again on Switch.

link legend Interestingly, that music that originates from yomawari night alone, is the only ost in that game and it doesn't play till the end credits (not that there's anything wrong with that. The lack of music certainly grants atmosphere)

I think in other countries/especially with other languages its not called Spirited Away. Like I think in Germany its called Chiro's journey or something.

You''re absolutely right :) In Germany its called "Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland". Which kind of refers to Chihiros Journey to Wonderland. Even here it sounds a bit strange and broken, i always wonder how they come up with these translations. So most of the times I really like to stick to the English titles, they sound way better.

The post game is a bit longer but most of the interest is in 100% collection to solve the mystery behind the town and figure out what's going on. In Midnight Shadows the protagonist from the last game shows up and you can talk to her to get some vital details on the world itself. But ONLY after you beated the all chapters first and free roam to the 'other town'. This is the game where you have to be 'willing' to advance exploration for the sake of detective work to solve the mysteries of the towns, not following markers point to point to beat the game (most people who are new to games may get lost for hours in this game not knowing what to do exactly).

That's the whole point of it, unlike 'little nightmare' where your protagonist is a tiny child up against gigantic cannibalistic maniacs. Yomawari's fear factor is fear of the unknown, where as Little Nightmares is more on 'fear of grotesque enemies'

Looks good i wish they would announce games a bit closer to release date though

2 FANTASTIC horror adventures in 1

Just in time for Halloween.

The music reminds me of something that'd be in a phone game called Deemo! So therefore it's automatically amazing xD The game looks super interesting as well o.o I'd be down to give this a go! :D

Omggg yesssss!!!!

I watched the full gameplay of both games. Both are really good games and they have some representation (not sure what's the right word) of the Japanese deities and lore in the modern day. The story is really good for both, and the girls are quite cute too actually. It left me feeling sad that both games ended when I watched it finished.

It might be sequel baiting if you play the post game and talk to the protagonist to do the subevent 5 times in 5 different locations, meaning you have to find her and do that event to unlock the small flower as a charm, slows down spirits with your flash light. By sequel baiting, what the protagonist says can be a bit confusing but seems to mention ("Good Evening!" 5x) that ingame day actually passes, but it's always night to the player so they NEVER notice time flowing as the game progresses. (Missing notice papers appearing out of nowhere at one point stating that someone is missing, then appears torn up at a later point in the game).

Yeah the games are amazing. :) They live up to their lore and emotion with the gameplay but it can be frustrating because of how some of the enemies are set-up.

Thought about getting the games on ps4/vita or pc. Looks like I'm getting it on switch.

Not co-op. The catch is that it's very short and is not very replayable, but priced well for it's quality.

Guz Rai So do I. I really like the minimalistic setting and story where I still felt emotionally invested as well as the atmosphere. It does kinda remind me of Spirited Away (as they involve a little girl in search of her family in a world where spirits roam about), albeit in a darker version. I would be really intrigued of a new installment, possibly find out more of the lore and backstory.
