I love my b-mat for going into the yoga studio. But I am considering getting a Manduka for home practice!

Liforme and BMat are the way to go. I gonna keep them, and Manduka pro gonna be sold.

With 4 or more hot yoga class by week the B mat cant not dry and become moldy… You cant not wash it entirely just wipe it. I have now Manduka pro lite + yogatoes towel no problem. Plus Manduka last a lot longer than Bmat or rubber mat …. But it not biodegradable …. What you can do with youre old Manduka Mat is donate to someplace who they can use them as rubber mat and cut them for they needs….

Geez, all I hear is that the Manduka Pro/Lite is super slippery so I have been afraid to try them. B Mat, I always wanted to try because it is supposed to have "crazy" grip. I use the Jade Harmony (close to 5" thick. Jade has thicker/wider mats too) which is super grippy though it is also hard to slide into poses, but it's my mat of choice. It has a spongy texture but one will feel super stable. @Tessa Rae Yoga, I'm sure you know about Liforme, when it comes to markings, but it wouldn't satisfy your cushioning needs. I wish they would make a slightly denser mat. Also cushy and grippy, the Para Hugger Mugger gets great reviews (6" thick). Seems similar to B Mat. I'm curious about Yogi Bare (which also has markings but might be too thin)..

The B Mat is tough to slide into other poses. I find myself having to pick up my feet and hands because it’s so grippy

@@Simon54236 Thanks for writing. I found that out the hard way. I broke my toe. Because the B Mat is all grip no "slide" and because my foot is very low to the mat as it makes its way to the front of the mat, it got stuck. Shame. Love the feel of the mat. Superb grip (lil too much). Extremely comfortable. True, don't expect to go anywhere. I got the B MAT Strong because I wanted some extra cushioning (6" thick) but I felt a tad wobbly on standing poses. I would probably do the Everyday (if I were going the B). I'm "sticking" with my Jade Harmony. Also super grippy, more of a spongy feel. And yes, also hard to slide into poses, but less so. And I feel super stable. I wish there was a happy medium.

@@seechangenyc280 oh my gosh, that’s terrible! I fell over once in an Ashtanga class because of the strong grip of my B Mat. I’m interested in trying one of Sugar Mat’s lux PU mats. It looks like they go up to 5 mm thickness, but may be a bit on the heavy side

@@Simon54236poor thing! Be careful out there. My toe has still not healed fully and I am so anxious to get back on the mat, anxious to do anything. Sticking with old faithful - Jade’s worked as well as I think anything would that’s on the market now that fits my needs. Not perfect, like me. I just wish I didn’t have to choose grip or slide when I need both. Ask a yoga practitioner their favorite mat and I have never hear the same answer, yet we all want the same thing.

@@Simon54236 5mm - to me - would be the sweet spot of comfort. I do yoga in my house but I could easily carry a 5 with no problem - especially if it were going to make me happy in a class. Let me know if you find “the one.”
