I have suffered with plantar fasciitis in both feet for around 2 years. It does tend to flare up and get worse at times, and which foot is worse changes too - lately it has been the right foot. I have also had Achilles tendinitis. I have been to my podiatrist, tried custom orthotics, icing, stretching, a vibrating roller that claimed to help, so many different things, nothing has really made much of a difference, but I am so happy to say that this video has helped drastically. After the first session I noticed the change and now having done it four nights in a row, it seems to be improving more and more each day. I have gone from crippling pain all day every day, walking slowly with a limp in order to get around at work (where I am on my feet all day), to what I would describe as more discomfort than pain. I can walk without a limp, although it is taking some time to get out of the habit! Sitting here now writing this I have no pain, whereas before my foot would have been throbbing in pain even with no pressure on it. I am emotional thinking about how much better my life is going to be without the constant foot pain!! Thank you so, so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been suffering from plantar fasciitis for four months or so, affecting my mobility drastically. I stopped taking my dogs on walk, I stopped hiking, I hated waking through a grocery store. After one week of these exercises there was a dramatic difference and I’m having pain free days. If I skip a day I can feel the pain start to come back, so now I’m making this 20 minute video a priority! Thank you so much.

Thank you for these exercises. It didn’t heal my plantar fasciitis in one week but I have definitely seen some improvement. When I first started, I had excruciating pain in my heel, worse in the mornings, but still all day and could barely walk. Pain is tolerable now but standing or walking for more than 5 minutes is still very painful (I also have a heel spur). I will continue this every morning in hopes that I can get back to walking a decent distance soon! 😊

Rolling my calves with your ball-and-block combination helped immediately, as did rolling over the ball on the bottoms of my feet. Hi, I’ve had planters fasciitis for three years and I want to commend you for giving this video to people like me. I've tried everything possible to rid myself of this foot pain but nothing worked until I ran across your video. This has stopped me from wearing my favorite shoes so I can’t dress the way I desire to. You are a blessing and I appreciate you. 😊

Thank you so much for making this available! I’ve been doing this for 5 days and the first 3 days and each time it felt better and better. Yesterday I had a bit of a relapse and wondering if I could be overdoing it. Can you explain what you mean by overhydrating? Thank you so much for offering this healing and being so engaged and encouraging. It’s really refreshing

You are welcome! So glad you are finding this video helpful! By overhydrating and doing too much, I mean rolling for more than 60 seconds in 1 spot. Sometimes people think more is better, but here more is not better 30-60 seconds with each technique is plenty.

Phenomenal video, I blame it on years of safety boots, my feet and now calfs and thighs are in bits . Those toe stretches revealed a massively sensitive and tendor muscle along the big toe. I am a bit alarmed at how many loud clicks, snaps and pops are emminating from my feet , it feels like tendons in my feet are all misaligned 😮

I'll refrain from calling you the Messiah, but during the first session, when we did the golf ball roll, I could feel how tender the spot was and that we were possibly on to something. I immediately felt more balanced and the tension in my foot had relaxed so exponentially. I woke the next morning and while I still had heel pain and what feels like knives poking my heel, I could walk without limping. After two nights of this routine, I woke up with almost no pain. Just the simple advice of spreading your toes has made a world of difference. I took a day off from the routine. I did the routine again this evening and the tender spot on my arch has improved so much. I know it'll take time to truly heal and rehab. But I have been stretching and rolling, icing, using a night splint and massage gun. All those things helped to varying degrees, but this is the only thing that really feels progressively better. (I got a cortisone shot and considered getting another one, but I knew if I did, I would fall into the habit of not rehabbing my foot/calf and wearing crappy shoes.) I am so so grateful for this video and your expertise.

I've recently acquired my very own case of PF and oh my God! I also have a bunion on the same foot and I believe that the bunion is the primary cause. I went to the doctor because the pain was so bad I couldn't even walk. He had zero suggestions for the plantar fasciitis and when I told him I needed to think about and get affairs in order before surgery, he jumped up out of his chair and told me call him when I was ready and he walked out the door. No recommendations... Actually that's not true, after pushing his fat porky finger into the most painful spot of my foot, he told me I needed to stretch. Him sticking his finger in my foot was so painful I busted out into tears. I'm going to follow this and I will check back in in a week.

I don’t get how you can have all your toes touch the Matt while you are doing some of these exercises. Especially the one in table top and toes pushed back. I’m pretty good at spreading my toes but I feel like my two littlest toes are so drastically shorter than my largest one that if I wanted to have all my toes touch I would have to twist my ancle/ scicle in a really bad way. Idk does that mean I need to stretch more or could my feet just be that way

Whilst my feet and calves feel looser, I feel like my heel is slightly more inflamed following exercises. Is this normal? My PF has always been isolated to my heel and medial insertion point. It started through the middle of last netball season, and I'm looking to commence another netball season soon. I'm at the stage where it's mainly a niggle though had a little flare up following a social game on concrete.

The tibial nerve branches from the sciatic nerve which comes from nerve roots L5-S3. S2-3 nerve roots controls the action of spreading your toes from the deep foot muscles specifically, which are the nerve roots that innervate the pelvis.

Years ago, I started feeling heel pain...I’m a land surveyor and walk a lot...so I looked into what was going on and learned that the collapsing arch strains the attachment of the tendon to the heel, so I folded up some paper towels and put them in my shoes to support the arches in my feet and ...voila!...heel pain subsided, problem solved...
