This Yin Yoga class is going to give you that relaxing deep stretch your body has been craving for. Focusing on deep hip opening yoga postures this class will allow you to release tension and stress that you've been holding within that area of your body as well as help you gain more flexibility in your hips and hamstrings. The perfect yoga class to paid with any of our Pilates workouts or your own personal workout programs.
Remember, breathing is a very important factor in any Yin Yoga class so through out this entire practice make sure you're taking deep breaths in and long slow exhales out. Bring oxygen to your muscles, organs, and mind. Re-energize your nervous system, let go of stress and tension, and become fully present in each moment of each posture as you let go of the past with each exhale you make.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga practice that targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.
Suitable for almost all levels, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
Each posture in Yin Yoga is usually held up to 5 min or so. However, if you're very new to this I recommend you start with the 1-2 min holds until you feel more confident in your posture. If you're more of an advanced yogi then feel free to pause the video and hold each pose longer.
Yin Yoga has many amazing benefits but below are some of the key benefits you may begin to feel after a regular yin practice:

Thank you. I am following your videos since many years now - I am not as flexible as you indeed I am not doing yoga regularly enough! But this specific one today! probably was because I put my earphones on for the first time but this session was a revelation of the benefit of yoga I was in “trance” where my body and my mind was in a different atmosphere and totally connected - the equation was perfect the sound of the voice the speed and silence moment, long enough for me to connect and the background music!! And of course the yoga poses ( because I have a hip problem ) so releasing I’ll try to do it again but find other flow(videos) because my problem is that I don’t like repeating too much the same. I just wanted to let this message to thank you for your work. Merci beaucoup.
One thing that really surprises me about this type of yoga is how much I can feel my muscles flexing as well as getting a wonderful lengthening stretch.
I get so sad when I do yoga, because my hips are so tight. I’m on a journey to find my flexibility and to become full of suppleness and inner peace. I thank God for people like you. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I hope yin yoga can become a staple in my journey of vitality and wellness. Blessings!

I’m on the journey as well. Week one! It’s so sad and extremely frustrating tbh having no flexibility and having tight hips but I’ll get there with consistent practice. Hope you got better a year later!

I was flexible and then suddenly awakened to sciatic pain... such a discouraging setback, which happened interestingly enough exactly when the first wave of coronavirus created a worldwide lockdown. I am sure if I stick to this yin practice daily, I will see improvement!

@@awakenotwoke6930 I hurt my right hip years ago, it didn't heal right and since then my anxiety has taken control of my life (my psoas is tighter than a cable). I'm trying to return to myself, and starting doing yoga again 2 months ago (its been 3 years without it)... I cant sit cross legged without severe pain, and my lower back is very bad... did you find relief from your hip tightness? how are you doing now? I need some hope that this will get better..
This flow made me great. It was challenging at the beginning but I felt amazing in the end. Thank you for sharing!

this is my all time favorite yin video you have created! the length is perfect for me because it fully gives me time to have some thoughts in the beginning, let go and then be in my space for a good amount of time. also dragons at the end really opened up my hips, its crazy how after a few minutes of deep pranayama our bodies naturally let go, its almost as if thats what we are meant to do.. breath and let go. thankyou!
Wow! When I started that workout my lower back was so tight I couldn’t even get into child’s pose. 30mins later and after lots of stress released with the poses and I could do child’s pose easily!! Who knew my back pain and stiffness has been tight hips all along? Thank u so much ❤️
I think, this is the most challenging Yin Yoga Video for me and my hips. There are a lot of negative emotions during holding the lizard pose. But after completing the session I feel always amazing. To let the negative emotions out of my hips I decide to do this Video for seven days in a row instead of avoid it. (Today was the second day and it was even easier than yesterday.)
