Dr. Deadpool Well done.. The nine Titans are in fact the nine giant trees that once flourished this earth and have long been cut down and petrified into what we call rocks and mountains.. We are talking about trees hundreds of kilometers tall and I understand that is hard to imagine, but take a look at Devils tower in Wyoming and then reply..

Each of the nine realms is a different planet in a different galaxy, and the tree is more like a branching cosmic nebula. That’s how Marvel interprets the idea, and i think it works.

The world tree is referenced throughout the entire DQ series. There's a rare item you can find called Yggdrasil Leaf that can bring someone back from the dead! Dragon Quest Monsters is set in a giant tree that has portals to other worlds just like Yggdrasil.

Hi a big question. :D Was Yggdrasil already standing when niflheim and muspelheim first appear? Or where does the tree stand when there was only void? It is huge tree connecting all worlds so it ... grew? to those 2 worlds or did it already existed? I tried too look up how or when Yggdrasil was created but could not find it. I was thinking maybe it grew from Ymir´s boddy but that doesnt make much sence to me since Midgard, which is Ymir boddy is in the middle it would have to grow a lot down otherwise Midgard would be at the center of its roots and not in the middle. Just was wandering about it. :)

I have the theory that it's the rataroskr who planted a acron on the primordial floors and that acron become the yggdrasil ant since he wasn't given any recognition that might be why he is trying to destroy the tree so that he can plant another one but this time with himself as the chief God.

Technically they're still considered two realm just one within each other. The likely issue with the number is with svartalfheim and nivdillir as they seem to be the same thing as snorri is the only reference to svartalfheim

@@insanemakaioshin as an asatru, no. Helheim is not the same as Nifelheim. Midgard was created when Muspelheim and Nifelheim crashed into eachother. It's because Hel was also called Niflhel which confused people to think that it was the same world. It's because Hel is said to be located under the tree together with Nifelheim. But Svartalfheim and Nidavellir are the same. The dwarves and the svartalfir are the same people which also means that Svartalfheim and Nidavellir are the same world with 2 different names.

@@thehypest6118 you don't necessarily look at a traffic sign let's say, a deer crossing sign for example and imagine a deer as a one dimensional black figure in a yellow (or whatever sign the color is) world do you? So in the same try not looking at this in the same manner. The Tree, the worlds the elves etc all have a deeper REAL and tangible meaning in a REAL world. Which world? The native European traditional (pagan) world. OUR world. I'll give you a hint Reincarnation.

We all know. Since when is mythology true? They're ancient beliefs. Part of past culture. People learn about the mythology cause they want to know how the past culture worked.
