holy scriabinoli
10:22 The E-flats are so resonant in the bass that they somehow make this section feel slow and epic, even though his tempo is so fast.
As if this piece wasn't already fucking mind blowing enough, this guy performs it as if he's bringing about an end to the cosmos. Absolutely outstanding!

nicely put !
Wow. Scriabin himself describes Sudbin's performance in the score; vertiginoso, luminosita, estatico, imperioso, impetuoso, I hear it all! Beside Sudbin's wonderful interpretation is his virtuosity, the beautiful setting, great sound and cinematography. All in all, thank you for this amazing upload.
Very much enjoy Sudbin Artistry with Scriabin Masterpieces
F*cking rockstar performance!
Fantastic!!
This man just made love to the piano! Bravo!

Alec eroticism is a huge component of Scriabin’s work - I don’t think it’s crazy to make this comparison.
magnifique!
A few seconds after final sounds of this sonata must be in absolute silence. Evgeny looked at the window to prevent instantaneous applause...

He really sank his teeth into this one. Expansive like I've never heard it before.
No words, this is just ultimate performance of the piece.

@@paulprocopolis Yes but, I'm sure Evgueni's performance proved as quite memorable to yourself. To myself, Paul, ten times would qualify as "a long time ago" -- ha! (There seem to be scads of different ways to spell the Russian Eugene, this one above being one.) Ta-ta!
This is probably one of the best (if not the best, in my opinion) performances of the fifth sonata of Alexander Scriabin.

I much prefer the Lubyantsev performance linked in the replies. The ending of that one is almost perfect. This is a terrible mess at the end.
Scriabin em boas mãos
gut
sudbin is a masterpianist, M.A Hamelin finds this among the most difficult he masters it says alot of SUDBIN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SUDBIN'S 2 CD'S BIS RECORDS SCARLATTI SONATAS....WHT TO SAY, SCARLATTI TURNS INTO GOLD UNDER SUDBIN'S INCREDIBLE FINGERS.

Wasn't it Richter who said that this is one of the hardest piano pieces ever?
Eargasm
Great to see him really go for , although it does need to breath in a few places ... and I think at least 50% on the notes on the last page were wrong ( and perhaps that didn't really matter!)
Is George Russell
wanna see a page of black ink?
Unfortunately he kind of flubbed the last run

So now, please tell us all the things you've not "flubbed." We're interested.
He certainly went for it at the end and played with explosive passion - unfortunately slightly too much at the expense of accuracy.
