I’m on regional Victoria driving my mustang listening to this video with my yeti gallon jug sitting on the passenger seat. The part at the end about the hub being dangerous in a crash is what I was also thinking. Then you offered a solution to me. Behind my passages seat there is a foot well for the rear passenger that’s almost too tight to be practical. Similar space to a ute. I’ll place it down in there. Thanks for your practical input. And cheers for showing the capabilities of the temperature holding properties so that I can know what I can do with this thing outside using it as my daily water container

A word of advice on these if you have one : when screwing the large lid on - have the small one off to relieve pressure and stop the large gasket getting a bubble. That way you will maybe get better life and will get a better seal.

I had a beast of a job getting the lid off one of my thermos (Sigg )after I used most of the hot water then let it sit for a few days I couldn't break the air tight seal the Stainless bottles threads failed before the plastic cap did

This one gallon jug is definitely a unit! But it sure is tough to get that lid off.

It holds 3860ml a US Gallon is 3785ml and an Imperial gallon is 4540 ml

Do you know if this lid fits other brands jugs like rtic?

Its just one of the food storage containers from Woolworth's sistema brand 750ml with the blue catches the round decor screw top one litre ones work as well

I want to get one. I read reviews that it leaks, if you tighten too much it's hard to take off. I too am curious if they fixed it.

@@tachometer-flac MAN, I tried one about 3 months ago. 2 months after my comment roughly... It did not leak but the lid was IMPOSSIBLE to remove. Had to return it, was just unusable. Other than that it was really nice though.

@@locklear308 you just have to make sure that the small lid is off so the pressure doesn’t warp the seal on the big lid. Then it will seal evenly and you won’t have to screw the thing on and off with all your might. Did you try that?
