    Well nowadays people are seeing suju as the variety kings or something like that, but before when they debuted, alot of people/fans criticized them because they debuted with 12 members. Everything they went through to get where they are now isn't a joke. They broke the stereotype of idols going into variety because before not that many idols are into variety shows. They are indeed a legend and deserve to be respected for they made/contributed to make the hallyuwave more popular worldwide.

    It's good for super junior members to master variety shows because idols has expiration date. New groups keeps coming out, fans keeps getting younger and younger. Idols with no variety skills will retire with nothing. Not every idol can be composer and producer like GD. Suju members however can stop making albums anytime but they'd still on TV for being fun to watch. I won't be surprised if they'd build their own agency or become TV producers when they're 40-50.

  • @greciacastro9020

    @greciacastro9020

    5 жыл бұрын

    Exactly. That fire in their eyes, it's called passion. SM doesn't make/force them to practice(SM idols have talk about it), their trainees KNOW they could lose their chance to others in a heartbeat. SM wants someone with passion, b/c they don't want someone that's not going to give up & lose interest easily. Why would anyone spend time & money on someone who will not take their job seriously?(unless they are injured). If I had a company I would debut someone who really wants it & works hard at it, rather than just a person wants it but doesn't take their job seriously or is not passionate about. Now, having said that I also know that ALL Idol's bodies with time gets fragile & weak(b/c of all the dancing) that's why Idols shouldn't get hate just b/c they lacked in a stage. People/fans need to also be understanding in that sense.(they are not robots).

    @@greciacastro9020 i know im years late, but i totally agree with you. That is why i don't like it when people bashes SM as a company. I mean, the artists probably has a love and hate relationship to SM like we all do to our companies (working as an office staff in a local agency). They wouldn't survive as a trainee and debut as an artist if they truly hated SM. If they truly don't like the company itself, they would have left the company even before debuting. I really don't like it when "fans" calls SM trash when they debuted a lot of talented artists for the past years. They produce high quality music, artists with passion written all over their face, their attitude as a perfectionist for the love of music. I honestly admire that. Those humble personalities that have probably been honed because of the survival process as a trainee. The process along with it was a big part of them.

    Khys Bulahan Sm brings them a good pay for every month and that is the reason why they are staying there. Also they are lured in and then they sign a contract with lucrative terms that forces them to be there until the contract ends. Considering how young they are when they sign them they don’t understand the implications of what abiding by the contract terms will bring. Even if they try to pull out from the contract it is impossible and then they have to pay the company a ton of their wages until the contract ends even if they have left (e.g.Luhan) They do give them good training but that is as far as they go and they do not even advertise their artists properly.

    I think that it's an honor of a sort that Yesung took them that seriously to not just shower empty compliments but to be stern and honest enough to give them constructive criticism. Outside of the glitz and the glamour, the Kpop world is pretty cutthroat. So many new groups debut every year, but only a handful reach a modicum of success and even less reach the amount of success and longevity that Super Junior has. And even within a group very few have a pretty even level of success. Some groups have just one or 2 that shine above the rest. In SUJU pretty much everybody has been pretty successful in their own niche. In SUJU they have movie/drama actors, stage/musical actors, MC's/Variety show stars, Radio DJ's, Dancers, Choreographers, Composers, Business Entrepreneurs and so forth, above being Kpop idols.

    Super Junior is literally the example of hard-working. I don't even know how long they work for, but I would say they would work overnight for several days, just to perfect every minor detail we can't even see. I mean their choreo shows that for sure. I think I heard that in an interview they said they had to practice choreo for 3 days straight with little to no sleep in between. And I believe that, because we all know that regardless of their variety show personalities, when Super Junior has to work, they all take it extremely seriously. Especially someone like Heechul, despite his leg injury. Never underestimate Super Junior's skills. I'm sure if all of them showed up, the trainees would be under more fire for that performance. That's just how much work they do and have done for us.

    Maybe its also the reason why groups that are formed from shows like this don't last long. Asides from not undergoing training for years, the members themselves haven't stayed together long enough to form that close bond of brotherhood and camaraderie. A group formed through a variety show in just months compared to a group formed by years of training together facing monthly tests together, being evaluated in various dance and singing challenges together, it's waaaay different.

    Coming from a group that was dubbed "TVXQ's leftover" when they debuted, you can tell he's the right person to give advice to these kids. He's been there, done that. I watched this show since ep 1, the kids were all over the place (they were excited so it's understandable), even Doyeom was concerned about it. Im glad Yesung came & knocked some sense in them. The reason why I fell in love with SJ is because they're genuine people who worked hard to be where they are right now. The path was never easy for them. Competitions were tough, hallyu kpop was not really a thing a back then. But they managed to be on top and slay. And I think they now deserve to play and enjoy their careers since they need nothing to prove anymore, they already did and even more than that. They just have to live their lives to the fullest. And for a group to stay that long is a manifestation that they love what they're doing. For those saying SJ is not talented enough, well you can't stay long in that competitive industry without talent. People will still know behind those autotunes or video effects. And that's what makes SJ amazing. They have what it takes to be called LEGENDS. 💙

    Literally every SM idol that talks about the rigor of what they've been through in the SM training system alone is the reason why they've never needed to send trainees to shows like this, and why when trainees of theirs do go on, they do pretty well. Eunhyuk, Taemin, Tao, Lay, Yesung, Kai, Boa have all made it clear just how hard training really can be and that these kids shouldn't take it lightly if they want to be the best or make a name for themselves. SM doesn't just find diamonds, they put the pressure on their trainees so that the only ones who come out of it are diamonds through and through. It's not always the best, but you can't deny the level of skill, precision, and talent that comes off of every single SM artist whether we're talking OG like Suju down to NCT

When I watched it, I was too young to understand and make negative comment to Leeteuk. But now I understand after seeing a lot of younger group lost their member because small problems. Yesung is kind and gentle, but when it's time to be professional, he'll turn serious and seem 'scary'. I feel like all SuJu members are like that, take Eunhyuk for example; he's always teasing, playing around with his members, but as an instructor he's strict and intimidating. They obviously don't tend to seem 'mean' or 'scary', but they need to be a bit tough so that p team got an idea of how it'll be when they join a company (and mind you, this nothing compared to what they(SM artists) went through as trainees.) I feel like Yesung tried to not be too harsh but also make a point that they needed to get it together. I'm glad he was invited to do so, because after that they nailed the perfomances.

    For me and I guess for many people he is one of the best vocalists in k-pop. And for me personally my favorite voice

    SM made SJ as project group who will promote in 3 month and then disband. now you can imagine what SM trainee do to survive at that time.
