    Hi! Thanks for a great video! I just have a question about the direction of the grain in the cardboard. You mark out the direction of the grain, but I can’t find how the direction should be when you cut out your pieces for the spine. And why is the direction of the grain important? Should it be easy to bend the spine or hard for more sturdiness? Thank you for your great videos!

    Great question. Sorry I didn't make it clear in the video. The direction of the grain is important when you're gluing sheets of paper together. If you glue them with grains going in different directions the papers/card stock have a tendency to curl as they dry. Also, when folding, or in this case bending, the card stock, the paper will resist being folded/curved against the grain. Bending with the grain makes for an easier and cleaner bend/fold.
