Parliamo di come possiamo prenderci cura del nostro LED wall al solo fine di mantenerlo sempre in perfetta efficienza e di prolungarne al massimo la vita evitando l’insorgere di guasti o malfunzionamenti.
Ricordiamoci sempre che lo schermo va acceso per ultimo, pertanto terminata l’installazione per prima cosa accenderemo le elettroniche di controllo, il computer e lo scaler. Stessa attenzione per quanto riguarda lo spegnimento. Non osservare questa sequenza potrebbe provocare dei “flash” fuori controllo che solleciterebbero i LED in modo anomalo.
Durante il montaggio, lo smontaggio e la movimentazione dei pannelli cerchiamo di non toccare lo schermo a mani nude nella parte anteriore e di utilizzare preferibilmente dei guanti tipo elettricista che evitino la trasmissione di eventuali correnti di origine elettrostatiche. Se dobbiamo poggiare a terra le mattonelle evitiamo di farlo “in piedi”. Se non possiamo sistemarle direttamente nel flight case, sdraiamole a terra, interponendo materiali morbidi come spugne o pluriball.
Quando dobbiamo pulire i pannelli LED abbiamo due possibili procedure: spolverarli con aria compressa ad alta pressione utilizzando pistole a bassa pressione e ricordandoci di mantenere una distanza di almeno 15-20cm e mai con un’incidenza inferiore ai 45°, oppure utilizziamo alcool etilico e similari.
Se non utilizziamo il LED wall per un lungo periodo, il modo migliore per salvaguardare la sua efficienza è accenderlo frequentemente! Ogni settimana è consigliabile toglierlo dai flight case, montarlo e metterlo in funzione per ridurre il pericolo di formazione di umidità sia superficiale che interna.
Lo stato delle connessioni elettriche e in particolare modo la pulizia dei cablaggi e connettori di segnale va ispezionato periodicamente utilizzando, se necessario, prodotti specifici per i contatti elettrici.
Il peggiore nemico del LED wall (indoor) è l’umidità, quindi riservategli nel magazzino il posto più asciutto e ventilato possibile, preferibilmente in alto.

Today we will talk about how we can take care of our LED wall in order to always keep it functioning perfectly and prolonging its lifespan, avoiding that failures or malfunctions arise.
Always remember that the screen must be the last thing we switch on. So, once the installation is finished, we will first switch on the control electronics, the computer and the scaler. The same goes for when switching off. Failure to observe this sequence could result in out-of-control “flashes” that would stress the LEDs abnormally.
During the assembly, disassembly and handling of the panels do not touch the screen with bare hands at the front, especially if this is an indoor screen, and it is preferable to wear electrician type of gloves to avoid the transmission of any electrostatic currents.
If we have to place the cabinets on the ground, avoid placing them standing up. If we cannot arrange them directly in the flight case, lay them down on the ground, interposing soft materials such as cloths or bubble wrap.
When we have to clean the LED panels there are two possible ways: dust them with high pressure compressed air using low pressure guns, remembering to keep a distance of at least 15-20cm and never with an incidence lower than 45 °. We can also use a soft cloth with ethyl alcohol and similar.
If we have not used the LED wall for a long time, the best way to safeguard the proper function of our LED wall is to turn it on frequently! Every week it is advisable to remove it from the flight case, assemble it and put it into operation to reduce the risk of humidity formation, both superficially and internally.
The state of the electrical connections and in particular the cleaning of the wiring and signal connectors should be inspected periodically using, if necessary, specific products for electrical contacts.
The worst enemy of the indoor LED wall is humidity, so store it in the driest and most ventilated place possible in the warehouse, preferably in a high location.
