Yellow Mountains - The Loveliest Mountain in China - Huangshan, Anhui

As we take a break from our Silk Road trip videos, we want to share with you our first trip of 2021. We took a train on January 1 to spend the first weekend of the new year in the mountains. The views were incredible, and we couldn't believe the views that we were seeing. Come along with us as we take you on our journey.

We are James and Keli, previously Two Tickets Around the World. We are originally from Kansas in the United States and after many years of traveling during our holidays together, we took a leap of faith and moved to China. While we teach English during the week, we use our holidays and weekends to explore the different wonders of China.
Once the borders open, we'll continue our adventures exploring the rest of the world. Until then, let's explore China together.

It was one of the best sunsets we've seen. If you're ever in China, we definitely recommend it!

The best scenes of yellow mountain are the cloud sea in the morning, pine trees and weird rocks.

Yes! When the mist finally started to come over the clouds in the evening, it was goregous. In a way, we were dissappointed not to have the mist and clouds to 'walk throughh,' but the blue skies were incredible!

I have moved to Shanghai for work from Guangzhou since August last year but never got a chance except for a one day trip to Suzhou during National Day. Anhui is close to Shanghai, I wish I can get a chance to visit there this year.

We understand what you mean. We live so close to Shanghai and we've only been to Shanghai four times in the two years we've been in China. Hopefully you can get our more and use your weekends to your advantage!

Awesome video Keli, thanks for putting these travel videos out as many of us outside China are unable to travel (or even get out of the house) at the moment :) Really enjoy the mountain view! Just curious how much was the hotel up in the mountain, and was it busy?

We are glad you enjoy them! We hope the rest of the world can get back to a "normal" soon. Stay safe wherever you are! The hotel price was a little expensive (but most of them all run for the same amount), 1,700¥ for one night. It wasn't as busy as it does get during high peak season.

Hi! I'm moving to Suzhou in the summer and I'm kinda struggling to find good sites to look for apartments. I am staying there for a year to finish my bachelor degree. Does anyone have any tips on how to find good apartments in Suzhou. Any sites I can check out?

We recommend finding a real estate agent or join the Facebook Suzhou groups to find rental apartments.
