Harvey, I climbed the Huangshan Mountain almost 30 years ago, at roughly your age. At that time there was no cable car so when I managed to climb to the peak, then downhill and reach the bottom of mountain I could hardly move my feet. Good to see you have a girlfriend now. There are front route and rear route to mountain Linhua peak. Front route is an easier hike vs. rear route is longer and very strenuous hike, but much more scenic. I took the scenic route. The most dangerous place is called ‘99 steps to heaven’. Steps are narrow and steep, cut out from natural granite ground along the edge of the mountain with no handrails. It goes straight up, can’t see the end of the path. It’s over 120 steps, not 99.

Fun, interesting and informative ! Learned about Yellow Mountain. Also want to point out that you underlined the need to take care when climbing trails eventhough there are steps to climb. Not all steps are evenly laid out. Would’ve liked to have seen a few drone shots if you could’ve !! GOOD CONTENT 😊 👍🏾

Drones were banned unfortunately, super annoying as the views would’ve been incredible!

I visited this place 6 years ago. I am glad I went. Not to sugarcoat, the hike was tremendous tiring. But the scenery was breathtaking. We stayed at one of mountain top hotels near Linhua peak overnight. Unforgettable experience.

@@Harveyinchina Ground will be more slippery. If you can, try to stay at a mountain top hotel overnight. Go to watch sunrise with a guide at Linhua peak is an awesome experience. Breakfast at the hotel is great. Bear in mind, as you know, everything they use and supplies are carried up manually from the foothill. Workers make small wages to deliver goods. Some workers do 2 to 3 trips a day.

Great to see a lot of people out and about. Hope the country will loosen up more soon.

If you liked Mount Huangshan, you'll love Zhangjiajie in Hunan. It's truly beautiful. Where the Avatar films got their location idea from

From Anhui Province and having climbed Huangshan three times, I really recommend you to stay in a hotel at the top of the mountain to check out the West Sea Valley (forgot the actual English). Absolutely the most amazing scenery imo.

We saw that hotel, it looked such an ideal spot to stay! I think if we pass through Huangshan again then I will stay there!

I'm in China myself atm. In Shenzhen so I like to keep an eye on channels like this to get some ideas on where to go. You're doing a good job man and you're really consistent which is key- keep it up but some advice- from one creator to another- be yourself.

Passion and creativity doesn’t flow freely without authenticity, I think you can sense that most in video form. But yeah I’m not a KZreadr but I do write stories. Hopefully there’ll be a book one day :)

Stroooongly recommend you to visit Huangshan again in different weather. One in a cloudy day and the other one on the day after snow. You'll witness totally different landscapes. Very curious about where you'd heading for the next day. Hangzhou where I live is not far from Huangshan, did you come here then?

Hi Harvey.. i'm a bit confused.. is Huangshan mountain scenery similar to Zhangjiajie.. seems very similar.. but Zhangjiajie seems a lot more extensive.. may be much more dramatic.. are they near each other..

Both areas are quartzite sandstone columns and pillars, so they look very similar. But Zhangjiajie is a lot more extensive and dramatic, the pillars rise very high with nothing around them, whereas Huangshan is more mountain-like! Both are amazing though!
