Way out by Yela is a hella underrated gem
Dude, Kid Rock made his first album in the early 90's as a teenager with Too $hort. He goes way back in the game of hip hop and was also on the big Ice Cube/Public Enemy/Beastie Boys tour, he opened the show. Lot of people talk shit on the guy, yet he can and has done it all.

Kid Rock actually dropped his album before Vanilla Ice. If I remember correctly he was the first solo white rapper.
Kid Rock started as a rapper and then mixed rock into it and got huge. Kinda created a whole new wave back in the day. Kid Rock and Eminem did a song called F*** off, waaaayyy back in the day.

Technically the first rapper/artist to infuse rock with hip hop was Esham. Also from Detroit. RLP productions.
Yela is such a great artist. He’s a real rock star. He can do rap, country, hip hop or any blend in between and do it about as good as anyone.

Yelawolf honestly is more then just an artist he's just straight up talent, he's great at so many different genres.

Aight, Stevie, you ever listened to "Till It's Gone" by Yelawolf? That's probably my favorite track from him. (Not counting the feature he did on "Worldwide Choppers" and the feature on "Let's Go" with Travis Barker, Busta, Twista, etc.)

A pretty cool song to check out is “Row Your Boat” it actually uses a pretty unique scheme using the first and last word of each bar. And “Sabrina” is an intense storytelling song. “Trial by Fire” such a 🔥 album

At BJ's the other day at 7:30 am, someone pulled into the parking lot blasting "Ruff Ryders Anthem" and I immediately thought "fucking hood nugga.. It's way too early for that shit"... a 50ish yr old WHITE lady came out the car, nodded at me and went inside. You never know 🤷

lol, I'm 57 and still turn it up when I'm driving my truck. Within the last five years a whole new type of music has formed. Upchurch, Yelawolf, Calhon, Broadnax, Feat, Jellyroll etc. So many songs coming out its hard to keep up. But I believe the start of country rap was Upchurch. Not mixing rap with rock, just straight up country rap. But he is all over the board now.
*Kid Rock's* first album was in *1989* but you should do a review of his *1998* album *(Devil Without A Cause) 11x Platinum* Which I'm sure you heard tracks from

Kid Rock KILLED this hook!!! 💯🙌🏻🔥🔥🔥
I had no idea Stevie hadn't done this one already... 🔥🔥
"How the F did I get a catalog w more hits than a jack hammer dog?! " 😂... BTW, the 3 kids in front of the Bodega are his kids.
Everlast/Whitey Ford who was also in House of Pain, was the first to really make what they call hick hop now, he left House of Pain and came out with Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, and he mixed acoustic, country, and blues with hip hop. He had a huge hit with What's Its Like, and many more including a Grammy winner he did with Santana.
Love this reaction, Stevie. 🤘🏼🔥💙

"The music that they're playing provides a bridge" your words made this video that much better. Much respect.
Hell yeah brother!
I had this on repeat for a long time
I commented to fast lol. Brother! I watch a ton of reaction channels and almost every one of them have said the same thing that you just said. A bridge has been made through this style of music. I say this style, but it’s turned into reactions of country, rock, heavy metal, r&b as well as rap and hip hop. It’s opened eyes on both sides of the fence. I think that we’ve all found out that we have way more in common as a whole than we ever knew. I love it! Watch out world! My people coming together lol!
Well said brother man. A beat can bring anyone together
love your view on this song. intelligence bro!
Thats why hip hop is the number genre in music most popular in all walks of life now! What started in the inner cities of the black culture has grown into what is now a universal language bridging all cultures together and shows that no matter who you are where you came from we are all human and we all can find commonalities, we find out we are not that much different from each other after all. If we are open and excepting towards everyone we would all realize this truthfully! Thank you Yela for being the trailblazer linking all of us together
One hell of a dynamic duo! 👏 😆
Love this song
'Everything I Love the Most'!!!!
The hook got soul, flow is slick. This is fire
This was the first song I ever heard with Yelawolf and over time he became my favorite artist.
I'm from georgia and still hear and I got the bridge analogy u made at the end of ur video lmfao.. share that shit with the world bro.. I really appreciate it and u... music itself is a bridge for all cultures

It’s like me. I’m a bearded biker. Born and raised in Middle Ga. ( GO DAWGS) I get the strangest looks when I roll up to a red light on a Harley bumping hip hop. I love all real music that comes from an artist that puts their struggles and heart in their music. I grew up on hip hop, country and rock and later on fell in love with heavy metal. My taste is all over the place. LoL
nailed it with the pastor troy comment
I remember when this came out. I had this on repeat.
Speaking of the whole Country Rap thing, some people say that it started with Bubba Sparks with his album Deliverence but it was actually Kid Rock that started the trend back in 1998 with his break out album Devil without a cause starting with the song Cowboy the second track on the album along with other song's like Lay it on me Midnight train to Memphis Hillbilly stomp Desperado-Rato And a couple of other songs, but it really didn't pick up until the mid to late 2000s, so yeah.......that's where it started at
Gadsden AL...my family from there too. Cool to see.
From UK. Been watching your stuff since the game dropped the Eminem homage (diss type track) whatever that was lol. Was born in 85 so been listening to hip hop for a while now. And subscribed to your channel. Good work on the videos. I like how you break the lyrics down man😎👌
Stevie, I love Yela but Kid Rock is super talented as well. I have been a Kid Rock fan since day 1. I have seen him in concert 3 times and he puts on one of the best live shows I have ever been to….matched only by the one and only Eminem. I was lucky enough go to The Eminem Show tour in Atlanta….I always say I went to that show an Eminem fan and I left a Stan!! I have seen a lot of great live shows but Eminem and all 3 Kid Rock concerts have remained the best live shows I ever seen. I would love for you to react to some more Kid Rock. I highly recommend the Devil Without a Cause album as well as You Never Met A Motherf***er Quite Like Me. At all 3 shows, Kid Rock played every instrument on the stage at some point. He is most definitely a legend IMO!!!!
