For those saying this sounds like Beastie Boys, when Yela says "We gonna rock this mother fucker like 3 the hard way" is a song by Beastie Boys called "3 The Hard Way", also the DJ break is very similar to the DJ break in Beastie Boys "Right Right Now Now", again as tribute to them. Yelawolf is a big fan of them (there's a few Yelawolf Beastie Boys performances on KZread), however search "3 The Hard Way" for the line & "Right Right Now Now" by Beastie Boys for the DJ break, he's influenced by them (just like Eminem is), it's awesome!! Oh and Yelawolf is brilliant!! ❤️🙏🏼

DOUBLE-LOL boy did I misunderstand that initially. I actually thought you were like "...when yela sings this and that, do you think beasty boys had a song called that?" like a serious question from someone I thought couldn't possibly have heard the boys because then he'd know instantly why we think this could be a beasty boys fan. Before you all go amock with mocking me, English is not my native language, and I'll bet that I speak and write a whole lot better English than you do Norwegian, so come back when I can write in Norwegian and you in English and we can have a conversation, and then we'll talk. Or one of the two more languages, Swedish and Danish, I can both understand, write and read in. (Norwegian, Swedish and Danish are basically the same language, and the differences is no more than those between American English, British English and Canadian English, which are all minutely different in some words and pronunciations and such.) Anyway, I thought the level of seriousness I put into this completely stupid comment under here was quite funny and hilarious, so I think I'll just let it stand as it is, serious and taking the matter very seriously. And thank you because you actually knew, and also specific references to beasty boys titles etc, I just got struck by the Beasty boys vibe of the whole thing, with those choppy rhythms and that voice and all. That DJ scratching though, he's something else. Brings back the same accusation Yela does to Beasty to Scratch Perverts. To me, that was actually tyhe most impressive and respect commanding homage here, scratch as an art like that being almost dead and Beasty boys being world famous band while the Scratch Perverts, Invisbl Scratch Piklz and such are not, and rather obscure and for specially interested. As I said elsewhere in another comment: Underarms R fun. ******************************* The following is my initial response after misunderstanding that comment completely at first ************************** LOL in stead of asking very obscure questions, why not just listen to some Beasty boys and instantly realize what we mean for yourself by hearing it, in stead of relying on some random person on Internet explainint it? Because there' sno way you won't hear what we're talking about - the fact that this could very well in many ways been a beasty boys song. The voice he uses, of course, but also the beats and the structure of the bars he's popping, the cadence and flow.. This sounds like a Beaty Boys song because it sounds like a Beasty Boys song, and as such easily could've been a beasty boys song. Why else would we say that it sounds like beasty boys, if it didn't?? D0'h.

If you think this was the best rap album of last year what the HELL have you been listening to? Don't get me wrong. I'm from Alabama and I have been a Yela fan since 05 but I've heard a lot better from him. Besides that, did you forget Kendrick dropped an album last year? Shit K.R.I.T. dropped an album better than anyone in my opinion.

madskrillz2 I think alot of artists that most hadn't really heard of were able to finally get the notoriety they should of over the past year or 2 bc the quality of music had been awful, especially when it came to Rap! I just enjoy seeing artists mature & music as a whole finally getting better! Yelawolf is 1 of several artists who are finally able to shine & the bar is still being raised!
