Year of the dragon and black rain are so underrated.
Back when American movies had balls. Love "Year of the Dragon." It's time that it received the Criterion treatment!
One of the greatest movies of the 80's.
love mickey rourke forever
One hell of a movie, easily one of my all time favorites.
Just watched Year Of The Dragon for first time in 30 years and absolutely loved Mickey's Frank White - he's not a particularly nice guy but boy does he have some funny one liners!

Thanks for watching, glad you're enjoying the videos. What did you think of Francesco? I also watched it on youtube, thought it was ok, but not great.

@@CoolCityCactus I'm glad I've now seen it , I don't think there is any rewatch value there. I reckon Mickey suited a softly spoken delivery in it ( imagine if he was speaking like he does nowadays?) Overall, I would have liked to see him challenge himself more with these passive roles in his career because I think he could restrain himself from being the hard man.

Have you ever seen Bullet? I just found this channel. I used to LOVE Mickey Rourke back in the day. Have you seen Johnny Handsome? That was definitely one of his best performances (He plays a disfigured criminal who gets a new face while in prison.).

His character was pretty unlikeable in this movie.

@@matthewschwartz6607 But he wasn't coming up with dialogue like " hey , wesley - do you want me to come over there and do a tap dance on your skull ?"
Great movie!… Mickey at his best!.. don’t make em like they used to
