In the Rideout Case Mickey really shines you can see his obvious talent and star quality

Pfff the talent of mickey rourke is ridiculously good.... He is a phenomenal actor man... Wtf Hollywood wants???? Here you got one of the best actors ever lived....

I get so annoyed that he wasn't nominated for an Oscar in Angel Heart , Year of the Dragon, or The Pope Of Greenwich Village. Sometimes the Academy just sucks!!!

Wow, thanks for this! I’d seen all 3 movies before (never could find Hardcase from 1981 though), but it’s definitely great to have all of Mickey’s scenes compiled… already showing what he could do before being in “major” theatrical films. If I had to pick the most naturally talented leading Hollywood actor ever… I’d say Mickey.

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed this video compilation. I too have never seen 'Hardcase', it seems impossible to find 😕 In fact I have yet to hear from anyone who has seen it!

Somebody PLEASE get a Blu Ray of City in Fear out ASAP! I have loved this film for years and years, but the quality of the VHS to DVD transfers is pretty bad. It deserves so much better...

Hey CC , good to have you back with a bit of 'Mickey magic '. I picked up a copy of Diner recently ( hadn't seen it in ages) He obviously steals every scene in the movie but couldn't help noticing a scene where he owes a bookie money and melts a little bit and gets a bit pushed around ( doesn't happen often, Enrique Iglesias managed it in 'Hero') Normal service is later resumed when he beats the mobster up but for a minute Mickey (boogie) was mortal! Thanks for the vids as per usual 🙂

Hi Jez, thanks for checking out the video. Diner is not one of my favourite Mickey films, but he is sensational in it which makes it a worthy watch, interesting cast and music too. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, I’ll have to dig it out and give it another watch. I recently watched the two latest films to star Mickey, ‘The Commando’ and ‘WarHunt’ . . . have you seen them? ‘WarHunt’ was ok, and Mickey does appear to be having fun with the role, but the ‘The Commando’ was dreadful, Mickey is so much better than this . . .

@@CoolCityCactus Gotta say , ever since watching Mickey in' Berlin, I love you' and 'Hitman in London ' I've gone off the idea of seeing his brand new stuff. It was good to finally see Francesco ( one of his last non- hardman films )

@@jezwotton2126 I totally get that, he just seems to play the hardman/bad guy these days with the usual bad guy dialogue. I think his last really decent film was ‘Ashby’ (2015) ‘Francesco’ was an interesting watch. It’s one of those films that I enjoyed but I wouldn’t rush to see again.

@@CoolCityCactus About to say , 'Ashby' was the last 'non dialled in' performance and showed he can do comedy, albeit dark comedy.
