Yealink IP Phone Unable to Factory Reset ~ Lost Admin Password ~ USB Firmware Recovery Mode SIP-T42S

Ғылым және технология

In this video we go over how to unlock a Yealink SIP phone which has an unknown administrative password applied thus preventing a successful factory reset. We will show how to get past this problem by putting the phone into a factory firmware recovery mode and upgrading the firmware via a USB key. Furthermore I will show you how to get the phones' MAC address removed from Yealinks' Remote Provisioning Service (RPS) database to prevent the service provider assigned admin password from being automatically reapplied again. The IP phone model we illustrate in this video is the Yealink SIP-T42S, or just T42S. But the procedure _should_ be the same, or similar, for the following other Yealink SIP phone models as well: T46S, T48S, T27G, T41S, T54S, and T52S.

No, I do not. Yealink does not permit re-hosting their firmware (legal / copyright restriction). But it's freely available on their site as I showed if you are located within the USA. You may have to create a support account first if you are not.

They have changed their website since your release, they have revomed the links forthe secondary recovery files. Thefiles were moved from the locations as well.

I would suggest you open up a support case and just request access to the recovery file(s) for your SIP phone model. That was how we used to get these recovery files from Yealink in years past. Not sure why they are hiding the links as that just puts more work on their support folks.

Yep, too many situations where the phone could be stolen I suspect. You can only get access to the files now by opening the support ticket as I went over in the video. You'll have to prove legit ownership.
