Woooo this is my first week shifting at UPS as well here in SoCal!!!!! I prefer this way over 90 ° back, but it depends on the tandems as well.

I’m looking into truck driving.. I have no experience so just doing some research on how to get started. A yard jockey is a good way to get started?

All that space. At the rail I work at the spots start at the yellow square and the train track replace the other end. Most tinea chassis are lined up length wise taking out 2 feet of space. Basically backing is so tight that the difference between making it and hitting another trailer is literally 5 inches. They auto fire if you hit anything so basically make sure you have two spaces before you back

@@notyourechochamber3137 if they have computers in the trucks like most companies now, moves will appear on the computer, you tap it to “claim” the move. You move the trailer, mark it as complete, it then tells you if they called for a new trailer in dock or if that is the end of your moves for that trailer and to wait for another one. Most yards will divide the yard into areas and assign drivers respectively. If you need help you just give a holler on the CB.
