Tyson being a standout teammate. I think he can be a solid backup. Heck he did as good as most backups that had more experience

BAGENT keep. He has the work ethic to be very good backup.

Tyson Bagent is getting used to the NFL size football. He threw that 55 yard pass looking good becoming a 50/50 QB starter. 🐻⬇️🧆🏝️

If we are going to trade Herbert to a team that needs a RB during camp, then I would try to package him in a package for an O-Lineman. I think we can piece together a decent starting 5, but I have concerns about our depth.

In four years, DeAndre Swift has only hit 1000 yards once. Idk why you'd be comfortable trading herbert.

Ngakoue played much better once Sweat joined the team. I'd be prefectly happy with signing him to another one year contract. Next year's draft is loaded with DE/Edge talent.

I don’t get the Herbert Trade. With Swift’s injury history, if he goes down, you won’t have Herbert (just Johnson) then you will have to find another RB anyway. Just keep him. Ugh!

Totally agree 100%. There’s ZERO chance Swift makes it through the whole season injury free. The Vegas odds would have to be 1000 to 1.

@@keithmcdonald6920 they didn’t draft a RB. They picked up a guy as an underrated free agent but those guys are usually practice squad to maybe fill in in case if an emergency. This is a guy who didn’t even get drafted in the 7 rounds so don’t expect him to step in first Swift in an injury situation.

Herbert is a good backup, so it will take a fifth round pick minimum. Don’t sell cheap, cut Homer, if not good value.

Sure, DE Booker has some development to do (as do all young players) but you do not give up a future 4th round pick for a guy who is 100% developmental. Booker will be expected to contribute and get solid playing time this year. Otherwise, the trade back into the draft wouldn't make sense.

Probably 40% goes to taxes. Agents are capped at like 3% I wanna say. My understanding is $10M guaranteed is about $5 in the bank.

There is no point in resigning Ngakoue! We are not playing for the super bowl this year so why give the reps for to an aging 1 year contract?! Give Booker the reps and get more value out of it

Sign Yannick with most money on incentives like base 3m, with few performance incentives that tops at 9m with like over 10 sacks etc.

herbert should not be traded; he's averaged nearly 5 yards per carry and has had 3 seasons (out of 3) with PFF scores between 73 and 79. here's how it should work: you keep the good players; you trade or dump the shitty ones. and you don't give away a good player for an effing 6th round pick.

You can get Ngakoue cheaper than last season. He can have a better season. Draft next year is chalk full of defensive talent.

Keep Herbert he’s to important especially for what you’d get back for him. He’s a elite backup RB ( could be a good starter) but great compliment with Swift. I’m not sold on RoJo being a true backup / starter if Swift got injured. Id sign Yannick but for no more then 4 million.

Why trade Herbert for a late round pick. If that's all you can get, keep him for depth.

Yes bring him back for LESS than he made last year....Herbert take your time on him cause RB do get hurt so you might want to wait on trading him .....keep Bagent but I feel a Veterans presence would be well needed and looking at some of draft pick Austin Booker's highlights he looks like a fresh approach that the Bears could use at DE and he could learn a lot from Sweat and Ngawgue

I think our defense is fine honestly. If you must pick up an edge give me the best bang for my buck out of those vets. I think ogbah might be the youngest but I don’t think he’s going to get too much better.

Yannick is probably the best edge remaining in free agency. His production was below average last year but he was also the main edge rusher until Sweat came along and then he got hurt. Yannick is the best the Bears are going to do unless you want to give up draft capital to get someone alongside Sweat
