He wanted a bunch of pitches. A lot of his any-2 pitch counts is “try to make them chase” pitches were nowhere close that anyone would attempt to chase. Besides that it was a great day

@@georgecasper6206 when you don’t have overpowering stuff you have to rely on getting them to chase junk and settle for pitches that are borderline strikes. I agree his command was a little off today but it could’ve gone way worse for him in his first start.

You are right. I do believe that Hays has a more accurate arm and is better defensively and would have had the runner at home.

That "catcher interference" call looked highly questionable to me. If you slow it down to .25 speed and look at it around :48 and advance it manually, it doesn't look like the bat end touched the glove.

I think everyone was a little concerned with the bullpen after the Oakland series. Not just performance, but usage and injury. The fact that Cano only pitched in game one and Kimbrel got the whole series off and the pen was light out is a statement about how good this club can be. Starters did their part and Bradish if not for the BS in the 1st inning he probably finishes the 5th this was a great series for a club that is starting to surge.

The Orioles won 3 out of 4 against the Yankees DESPITE the p1$$ poor umpire crew. Not a good, consistent strike zone the entire series. I'm seeing too much of this throughout baseball. It's hard to enjoy a baseball game when the umpire crews are hogging 1/3 of the attention for their $h! T calls. Way to dominate, Orioles!!
