This isn’t football. Four games don’t mean a thing.
Soto’s plate discipline is unreal man. Rarely ever gets cheated. Swings with the pitch too instead of trying to pull. Give him all the money he wants.

Just remember about the "Cohen tax." It's cute to talk about money now, but remember that in order to keep soto,the Yankees will have to defer most of that money, and that's not going to happen without mlb allowing the Mets to do the same with future contracts or legal action will be taken. No Ohtani treatment for soto.
@veritasinvicta2996
Ай бұрын
@@loualbino5536Why do you describe the notion as "cute"? Does the possibility of Soto resigning with the NYY upset you that much? You seem to take glee at how the Dodgers signed Ohtani with the ridiculous deferments. Strange. Judging by your words you could be a normal Mets fan already given up this year. you could be an Astros fan lashing out due to overreacting to the season's first series. They'll be fine. Judging by your apparent glee over the Dodgers accomplishing what likely won't happen again I ask: Are the Dodgers going after Juan Soto? I would say it sounds ridiculous but nothing seems to be too much for that ownership group. Are the Dodgers the exception? They could surely work their deferment magic with Soto. Say one million annually until 2524? 👀🤔🙃

Unparalleled discipline in the box by Soto. Outstanding defensive plays in the bottom half by Berti and Dugie. Gleyber taking 2nd on a lefty was clutch. Bombers brought the brooms to Houston for some spring cleaning! Love it.
@Brixenja
Ай бұрын
edouard julien
Lost in the Soto at-bat was Gleyber’s baserunning. That stolen base was absolutely massive and transformed that at-bat into a high-leverage one; he then breaks for third on the payoff pitch, allowing him to score without a play at the plate. He created a golden opportunity for Soto, who obviously took advantage. What a win and what a series. Give Soto a blank check and the key to the city.
Soto loves the Yankees and was born to be one.

John Sterling has sounded more energetic these first four games of the season than he has in a very long time!
Contrary to popular belief, Juan Soto is not actually a human. His ancestors are from an exoplanet deep in outer space, and his family moved to the Dominican Republic on Earth because they saw that that country loves baseball. Then Juan was born while they were on vacation there and decided to stay on Earth because he could be insanely good there.

Hats off to the wizard Matt Blake, who year after year turns a cast of random guys into to a top tier bullpen staff. When you see how the other half lives (Houston’s pen blew all 4 games) then you come to appreciate your own position a lot more. Also his work with Schmidt last year and over the offseason is bearing fruit. Clarke was cooking today, until he wasn’t, but a decent base to build on in future starts.

I’m definitely pumped af about the sweep on the road. Looking at the standings seeing us 4-0 at the top and stros 0-4 at the bottom always good to see but we got off to a better start than the them the past 2 seasons and look how they ended it’s also first series of the year basically spring training, but hopefully that’s the case for a lot of our guys that still haven’t got it going aswell.
