Yancy Medeiros 'has been ready' for fight vs. Gregor Gillespie | ESPN MMA

Yancy Medeiros joins Ariel Helwani prior to his Lightweight fight against Gregor Gillespie at UFC Fight Night: Brooklyn. Medeiros says it took him two months to recover from his rib injury and he is ready for his next fight. He says he walks around at 160 lbs. and he is ready for Gillespie. Medeiros explains he has gotten "scientific" with his craft and is better than ever as he knows what to do to win. He is proud that Bellator put on fights in Hawai'i and that inspired him to keep growing the sport. Medeiros weighs in on Greg Hardy being featured on the card as he says everyone is here to represent themselves to the best of their abilities. To finalize the interview he gives Ariel Helwani a gift from Hawai'i.

Dakotah Whisler look at his last fight. Had a main event slot , in what should’ve been a great fight and decided to be all buddy-buddy and making it a sparring session. Totally lost my interest Afterwards

Smoke_ Sumthin it’s not the win or loss that matters. It’s the performance he put up in a Main event fight. And that wasn’t just “one fight”, it was a main event slot that he will never sniff again. If you want to see two guys hug, smile, and laugh during a fight... then this sport isn’t for you.

Johan Liebert save the respect for before and After, not during the competition. Ariel even brought up the question that he showed too much admiration towards Cowboy. I don’t want to see a spar session, I want to see a good performance

FightFireWithFire 100% i work in construction in upstate ny my boss showed us an old video of him wrestling gregor and it wasnt even close. gregor absolutely dominated my boss told me his strength felt different from everyone else.

Yancy looks good at lightweight. Crazy that he fought at light heavy(I think anyway).
