Hey there Turntable Guy. I have watched many or most of your videos. The importance of this is I have a Marantz 6110 that would not shut off. Your videos helped me with the confidence to turn it over and take a look inside. The fix was very easy. The 6110 now works fine. Thanks.

What size weight should the counterweight be? Mine didn't come with one and I can't find the details.

good video and very timely as I'm working on a CEC built Lafayette T-2000 which looks like a very close cousin to this one. Would you please me what was the viscosity of the silicone fluid you used. Thanks, Peter

I've got a very similar CEC made Fisher MT-6010 that I have serviced, but I can't figure out one issue. When it auto-returns, or I hit the Reject, everything works normally; the tonearm goes to the rest, the motor shuts off. However, if I don't manually stop the platter from spinning, the motor will kick back on. The same thing happens if it is off and I manually turn the platter, the motor will kick on and it will keep spinning. I don't know why this is, as there is no auto-start on the table, and I can't get it to stop. Any ideas? Funny enough, this wasn't an issue at all until I lubed the center spindle bearing as the platter was dragging a bit and would stop turning before the motor would kick on.

Check whatever arm is actuating the micro switch that turns the motor on/off.

@@TurntableGuy Hey, thanks for replying. It is hitting the switch and shutting the motor off. But after a few seconds the motor kicks back on if the platter keeps moving. Is that supposed to be a momentary switch, so it has to be held down? You're probably on the right track though. One of the two switches has to be getting activated/deactivated after the return by the platter moving somehow, right?

@@TurntableGuy I figured out later that day that I had reinstalled the double-stacked cam that actuates the microswitch under the auto-return mechanism upside down. So, the switch under the tonearm and the switch under the auto-return we're not being actuated together.
