Yamaha XSR700 One-Year Ride Along--Two Brothers SR1 exhaust

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Don’t forget to subscribe!! After much trial and error, finally got around to making my first on-board vid of my XSR700 after one year of ownership. Ride along as I go over my favorite mods, future mod plans, and just general rambling about this awesome bike. Lessons learned from my first vid: I have quite a loud voice, I have an innate ability to jump from topic to topic, and most importantly, this bike sounds incredible on camera! Please let me know what you think, and please hit that "Like" button and/or subscribe so I can validate making more vids to the wife ;) Thanks for watching! --J Jack

    “Finding time to ride” As a father myself I agree with this statement lol. I had two beautiful daughters at such an early age I couldn’t afford to keep my bike so I multiplied my wheels by two 18 years ago. Now that my kids are older I’ll be purchasing my first bike in almost 20 years soon and both XSR models are at the top of my list. Appreciate the video 🤙

    Thank you so much for the great comment! It seems crazy that it's tough to find even a half hour extra to ride, but as a busy professional, and more importantly a father of two, it really is tough to break away just for a quick ride. I think that's what makes each ride that much better though, if that makes sense? Thanks again!!

    I've had my xsr700 for about 5 months. I live in southwest Mississippi so not too far from you. And you're right, the are none of these on the roads down here. I get some funny looks, ha! I absolutely love this bike. It's perfect for the twisty country roads I ride. Your roads look a hell of a lot better than the ones I ride and the softer suspension helps. Oh, and the deer are everywhere - watch out for em. You never know which way they're gonna spook and run. Anyway, kept mine completely stock- like the big blinkers. I wanna be seen!! Just gotta say - Yamaha did this one right - love almost everything about my bike. Maybe a bigger gas tank to go further between stops. I'm 5'7" - I have to lean over a little at stops to touch the ground but i like the higher riding position. My favorite thing - i love passing harleys, ha! And its easy to do on this bike.

    Hello Bill!! Thank you for the great comment, and thanks for watching! This bike is pretty awesome, right?!! I totally agree on Yamaha nailing it, and agree even more on the larger fuel tank. I enjoy your vids mate. One thing about the high beams, it actually irritates drivers. I'm a driver and biker 😂 I can see most bikes during the day, and even kn the light of the day some guys with their beams on are actually distracting. and theres the thing with dual lamp bikes where highs make them look like a car (Fortnine came up with this) That's all, love your bike and am seriously considering it as the next one later on, if I can fit some storage on it as well 😉 Sound is insane

    Jamie Lange Thanks for watching !! It’s been such a fun bike to ride and mod. You should absolutely give it a serious thought. Once you ride on e you’ll be sold. As for the high beams, even the LED on this particular setup is not as intense as you’d think. I’m actually in the process of filming a Stock vs. LED comparison, with head-on views of both. I strictly ride with highs during high-sun times of the day, and to be honest, if a driver is irritated by my light, that means they see me, and I’m ok with that, ha!! Thanks again for watching!

    @@JJackMoto It has been a pleasure to watch all your videos and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them. You know, all these hoonigans on bikes are getting boring... Keep on with it! About the mic, see if you can try to place it better but don't worry if it's too low on volume, you can always raise it up on post (while with distortion you're pretty much stuck).

    @@snailer6788 I totally agree. Don't get me wrong, I love a good fast-ride or wheelie vid, but the majority of riders cannot wheelie, and don't make it a goal to hit 125 mph on every ride. I love riding, but also gear, tinkering, finding good deals, getting creative while on budget, and I know there are a large number of riders in that same spot--that's who I'm really trying to reach. Whats your take on the wind at freeway speeds (75-80)? Is it manageable for short stints, 10-15 minutes or is it pretty taxing?

  • @JJackMoto

    @JJackMoto

    Hello Jason! Yeah, it's not the best for freeway speeds. I really don't do much freeway riding, but I have gone a few stretches of 70+, gets a little old after 10-15 minutes. The lower bars help a bit, but still pretty rough after a while. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks. Thats kinda what i thought. At 6'4" and 280 I'm looking for something with better ergos and a little more umph and less weight than my vstrom 650. Really like this bike but it would look dumb putting a windshield on it. Ktm 690 enduro is the leading contender at this point. Thanks again!

    Winters _44 Hello! Thank you for watching!! Sorry if I’m losing some comprehension in translation, but I think you’re asking if it rides well when riding fast? For my speeds and riding style, it’s perfect. I can definitely see myself upgrading to something more powerful in the future, but for now it serves me very well. I recently had it on the scale, it was right around 390lbs with fuel. I imagine the mods have shaved quite a few lbs.

    Hello, and thanks for watching!! To be honest, I don't have too much experience with the FZ07, other than the incredible engine it shares with the XSR, of course, so I can't really comment on the build quality. I do know that the suspension on the '18 XSR is slightly higher quality that the FZ. Other than that, it's all just a matter of style preference. Thanks again for watching!
